Pros:

Gently and effectively clears acne
Amazingly even skin tone

Cons:

light dryness
a little stingy on broken skin

I've been using liquid black soap for 5 days and the results are unreal! The acne is the closest it's ever been to being completely gone. Hopefully I'm not speaking too soon, but this is a fantastic all-natural product. I would recommend the liquid form because it lathers well and rinses easily (thus avoiding the residue that soap bars leave). I use it 1-3 times a day - whenever my skin feels dirty and oily from humidity, make-up, etc. The light dryness is really no bother, but if you feel like your skin could use a little drink, I recommend a small amount of Bio-Oil on the dry areas. After using Neutrogena, Vichy, Spectro, Clean & Clear, Biore and all that jazz, I have found that black soap is where it's at! Best of luck!

Pros:

All natural, improves texture, balances out oil, good smell, reduces redness and overall clears acne.

Cons:

Takes a while, but worth it.

It's worth it! I'm very skeptical with trying out new things, especially face soap but African Black soap does the trick for me. I use the Nubian brand, but almost any is just as good as the other. I can stress enough how much this helped my skin out.

Pros:

At first, I loved this soap because I have extremely oily skin, and it made it dry, and kept it dry for longer than anything else I've ever used.

Cons:

Stings when using. Broke out more in the long run. Seemed to aggravate pimples once they formed.

I have hormonal acne, so it could just be that I need a more internal solution....wish I could use this for the dry skin aspect, but can't because it's aggravating to my acne.

Pros:

makes skin smooth, balances oil/dry areas, gives face a glow

Cons:

none so far

great soap! i was nervous about using it because it's made with shea butter and different oils, but it's wonderful and smells nice (and mild) too; my skin is actually glowing and clear! I use the brand agbanga karite, which is fair trade and really serious about quality control.

Made a huge difference and I feel so clean
Make sure to get a 100% real African black sop. It should be kinda lumpy looking and be varying in color from light brown to dark brown not uniform in any way. It will be sorta soft and crumbly. Take a bottle fill with water add about a quarter or so or your black soap to the water. Wait overnight it will dissolve attach a pump and use this liquid soap on your face twice a day. It will be drying (at least to me it was and I have extremely oily skin use a good moistureizer I use jojoba oil) it took almost 3 weeks but I can really and truly see a difference. At first it just seemed to help my acne heal faster but I've been taking pictures of my acne daily to see if things actually change or if I just forget how bad it can be. Pictures don't lie my acne is at least 60% less and significantly less red and this is more astounding since I just got off of my period and I normally break out bad then. I really wish I could post pictures to show you the difference it had made. Give it a shot just get the real stuff I got the African shea moisture soap before I got the real stuff (the department store kind that's solid black and uniform) and it didn't do much it smells nice and my fiancé likes to use it in the shower but no significant change to my acne so make sure you get the real stuff.

May I ask where you purchased yours and how you introduced it to your skin? Did you start right away and wash morning and night or did you ease into it gradually?

Pros:

Reduces redness
Smooths skin
Makes skin glow
Helps with acne

Cons:

The only con I can think of is this may not be just the only thing you can use on your skin to get clear and stay clear.
It's also a little drying

I use Nubian Heritage African Black soap. I use it twice a day. It has sheabutter, aloe, coconut oil, vitamin e, and some other natural products. It really makes your skin smooth which is an amazing feeling, but for me, I still to need to exfoliate. I'm adding sugar in starting tonight to exfoliate. But I can say it's the best cleanser I've ever used because my skin is super sensitive to chemicals. Natural skin care is the way to go.

This is great! You can buy from africans in the street for $4.00 for a small size. I wish I had found out about this product when I was a teenager. I am in my twenties now.

Pros:

-does NOT dry skin out
-gentle
-pure
-no chemicals
-cheap
-lasts a long time

Cons:

-may have no effect on acne, however it will make everything else work much better, and you want that.

I've used African Black Soap from Ghana for months and I love it. I think the main reason for the bad reviews is that people on here haven't used raw african soap, there are many copies of it out there, which is why buying online is your best bet. I buy mine from E b a y and it's very cheap ($5.24 for 6oz, currently) It might help very mild acne, but nothing amazing. I just love it because it's so gentle and pure which is everything you need in a good face wash, it shouldn't be helping your acne; that what a good treatment does. Remember, raw from Ghana. The women from there make it and pack it themselves. You will love it, so don't be discouraged by the bad reviews. Good luck. :) (BTW: for cysts try Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion) Help a ton. - My acne is really bad, almost severe if anyone finds that helpful.

Maybe
I looked into abs a lot , I got mine from amazon it's the incredible by nature brand . When looking for abs it needs to be raw organic , and 100% pure unrefined. Mine was made in Africa so that's good lol . The kind I have comes in a big block I cut it in half and put it in two zip lock bags then I use one of the half at a time and cut pieces off . Each piece lasts me about two days . I got a soap holder from wallgreens about two dollars put the pice I cut off one of the blocks in it . Never put the soap directly on your face it will scratch you ! Rub it between your hands and use the later from yours hands on your face . I have been using abs again for about two weeks ' I tried it about a year ago and gave up after a week ' I use it at night to wash my makeup off and then I use first aid beauty ultra repair face moisturizer. No more toners or oils I'm trying a simple more natural route . You will need a moisturizer with abs !!! Preferably a non comedogenic one ! In the morning in the shower I barely touch the soap just like hold the wet bar and wash my face with that . And follow by moisturizer. Since cutting my routine and using abs and only moisturizer my face has improved about 35 % in two weeks ! I have been getting a lot of compliments! Wich is great to hear expecially when all you do is obsess over your face . Hearing good feed back is amazing ! I plan to stick to this routine for a minimum of two more months and see where it takes me. Good luck ! ðŸ' ps this type of black soap doesn't seem to be the one to get considering their are to many ingredients and fragrance is one of them ! The one I use that I said up top is only like 15 dollars or something on amazon and will last about two months !
