Pros:

My skin looks so much clearer!

Cons:

The gel itches like crazy!

I use it every night after washing my face and using moisturizer. The first time I used it I put it on alone & my face was too dry for it to work. You have to use moisturizer before putting it on. And I would suggest putting it on at night because it peels when you move your face and it itches. When it itches, DON'T itch it! Touching your face will cause it to break out more. I heard it doesn't work on indented scars, but I don't have those so I'm not sure. I also heard you're supposed to rub it in alot. YES, IT STINKS, but I love that because fragrance/perfume is very bad for your face/acne. Anyway, my face looks clearer by reducing scars instead of pimples. Maybe I had more scars than pimples.

Pros:

It does soften acne scars

Cons:

How to use directions aren't for everyone. I use it 2 times a day only and have no itchyness or red spots

At first I followed the directions. 3-4 time a day, but I found that my skin was burning and irritated. I accutally had a big red mark on my face for 2 months. When the spot faded, I decided to try again with less gel and less frequency. After doing this for a week, I noticed a big difference, and I didn't have the problems a lot of people have posted. For people who found this product to irritate the skin after following the direction, I suggest twice a day with less amount.

Pros:

It works!

Cons:

It smells really bad, and is expensive.

I've been using this for 2-3 weeks now and my skin already looks smoother. I see minimal fading on my acne scars, but it's understandable seeing as most of my scars are 4 to 8 years old. I expect to bee using this for about a year, but it's totally worth the rest of my life. Also, I've been using it on my cheeks only and have had no pimples in that area since. I'm 22 and still get the occasional pimple, but it seems that this sort of prevents acne. I've only gotten a few pimples on my chin and forehead. Good product.

Pros:

none for me.

Cons:

this stuff dried my skin out so harshly it hurt. i do have dry skin to begin with.

i did not see any improvement in old scars and new scars formed thickened skin, which is something i have never experienced before. i do not recommend this to people with dry skin.

Pros:

light, not bad smelling, clear, works

Cons:

not as good results on acne scars v. regular scars... then again, the acne scars are older and I am not done usig mederma...

Works good on old or new scars, but expect to wait a while for good results. On a scar I got on my knee, this worked GREAT and now the fairly new scar is barely visible when before it was very light compared the rest of my tan skin. :)

Pros:

This is a great solution to get rid of acne scars. It works great on oily skin. I am not sure, how good it is for dry skin.

Cons:

Skin gets somewhat flaky. You need wash you skin with plain water by rubbing it to get the flakiness out. Also apply moisturizer on those areas.

Its the best solution for acne scars, I came across so far. Its very cheap and less risky compared to lasers or chemical peels or other scar removal techniques.

Pros:

It works
Easy to use

Cons:

A bit expensive, but then its my face so I didn't mind.

I fell and cut my face and ended up with a scar from eye to lips. I have been using merderma for a month and a half and I have been significant improvement, even after just the first couple of days. So I decided to use it on an old raised scar on my face that is 3 years old and it has been about three weeks I am seeing a difference! I am considering using it on my fine lines even and see if that would work. I am so so impressed with Mcderma. It is very pricey and I had considered buying the CVS brand scar therapy. I am so glad I didn't.

Pros:

Fades marks significantly to completely

Cons:

Smells, can irritate skin if used with BP at the same time, make-up does not go well over it

This stuff really does work. I use it all the time to help fade post acne marks and scars and it makes them go away completely when used consistently. You may have to use this for up to 6 months, but that is going to be the case with any scar treatment. But, JUST KEEP USING IT!! I promise that you will see results at least SOME results. Usually it takes me about 2-3 months to see complete results. But, it 100% clears up my scars. The only scars that it has dissapointed me with a indented scars. While it did help to reduce the redness, it does not fill in the lost tissue. It doesn't promise to do that, though.
