Pros:

Mild reduction in acne

Cons:

It takes too long. It does not dry out skin. It does not work!

I have oily skin and mild to moderate acne. Recently, I was getting frustrated so I bit the bullet and ordered proactiv. After first using it, I didn't have results. I called them and they sent me the extra strength formula. To my dismay this didn't work either. Still got the occassional whiteheads. So I was angry. I immediately canceled. Now I use a Clean and Clear face soap twice a day that is 10% benzoyl peroxide and it works great so far. I am sure proactiv works for some, but there commercials make it seem like it is for all and it clearly is not. The products use the same ingredients that you can get over the counter.

Pros:

It seemed to help , but the improvement wasn't enough to warrant the price. I think it might work if you have a real acne rather than if you have hormonal pimples.

Cons:

Expensive.
Did not seem to work on my daughter's hormonal pimple problem.

I purchased this for my daughter who is 12 and has pimples on her T-Zone which seem to get worse with her monthly cycle. She used this religiously for a couple of months and did not get much of a result. It helped, but not any more than clearsil. The mask is the only thing that, in my opinion, is worth the money. If you have a real "acne" problem, this product may work for you, but not for preteen hormonal "pimples" on the forehead, nose and chin. I paid about $60 for almost a month's worth of the product and got the same result as the generic $20 similar product in walmart.

Pros:

it does not have a offensive smell easy to use.

Cons:

it clears your acne for about a week and then just stops working all together. There are to many steps for something that doesnt work not to mention it is over priced. In the end it gave me acne on my face where i had never gotten it before.

this product does not work like they say it does

Pros:

None...

Cons:

Doesnt work, you get a lot more acne in places you never had a problem with, your skin will dry to the point of peeling, its expensive I can go on and on with the cons of this product...

This did not work for me. I had mild acne before, 1 pimple here and there, I tried this and my face broke out like never before! I get pimples in places I NEVER had. Dont take the risk. This product will irritate your skin, dry your skin to the point of peeling, and the worst part is that you will break out really bad even where you never had a problem. I've read reavies, and either people love it or they hate it. I guess it just didnt work for my skin, but if I were you I wouldnt take the risk to find out if it will work for you, because you will not be happy with the end result!!! Hate it!

Pros:

I purchased the 30-Day trial of Proactiv. I love it so far. Clearing up my skin very well and people are noticing the difference. My face has become smoother and I feel confidence.

Cons:

I have sensitive skin so the toner tingles after a couple of uses but goes away after like two minutes. Other then that everything is fine.

Dosent work automatically, just takes some time.

Pros:

Using the refining mask as a spot treatment helped a bit I guess...

Cons:

Where do I start? Red, dry, itchy skin... with oily patches in place... caused my skin to break out even worse.

Day one into using proactiv my skin became so soft and no other pimples were forming... other than some oily skin on my forehead I was so happy because I thought I had FINALLY found a product that would finally help clear up my acne (which isn't really THAT bad.. but bad enough to make me want to try the product). I went to bed with a huge smile on my face. The next morning, however, was a totally different story. I woke up with my skin being extremely itchy... and as soon as I looked in the mirror I was horrified to find my entire face swollen, itchy, and covered in hundreds of little liquid-filled bumps. They weren't pimples exactly, but more like tiny blisters (sort of like the kind you get when you get a REALLY bad sunburn). Also, some pimples had formed as well... really painful ones. Fastforward to three days later and my skin is STILL red, bumpy, and feels like it's on fire.

Pros:

Works on and off

Cons:

Itchy, dry skin. Not enough moisture in the lotion at all, especially for my skin.

It works the first few times but then after a couple days, you start to break out. Then about 2 or 3 days after breaking out, you are really clear, and so on. It makes my skin dry, because there is not enough moisture in the lotion, and i need some more, different lotion on my face but im not sure if i should mix products. I am still using it, but am thinking of switching cause it doesn't fill all the requirements that i need. I have found another product, that i think will work a lot better than proactiv. It's called "Murad" and it's basically just like proactiv, because it has the 3 step process and everything. But it's different because it uses a milk base i guess, to make your face soft and still clear acne. So if anyone needs another product, you can look that up. I still have yet to buy it. Anyways, proactiv is not as good as people advertise.
