Pros:

Made my skin feel nice

Cons:

Allergic reaction

Okay, so I used it one night when I was out of my usual stuff, and it was just lying aorund because it was my sister's friend's (I think. She denied owning it afterwards). So I used it, and I didn't really care too much about my skin because I was much younger, and I didn't get breakouts or pimples or acne or ANYTHING, because I was young. I was just washing my face. So I used it, and it was alright. It made my skin feel good, I think. I don't remember a lot. It was a few years ago. The thing I do remember, though, is the morning after. I woke up, and when I looked in the mirror, I had a whole bunch of red bumps all around my face. All over, and I don't think I had school that day, since I remember obsessing over it for hours that morning, so I couldn't have gone to school. But Maybe the next day or something was school, and the bumps, while they had gone down, were still there. They were gone after a few days, but I couldn't believe it. At first I thought it was acne, but my mom told me I was too young (I was nine or ten or so). We summed it down to an allergic reaction to somehting, which had to be the fash wash I had used since I had done nothing different. Then my mom said they would be gone in a few days and that we shouldn't worry. They didn't hurt or itch or anything, they were just there. She then said not to use Proactiv again, so I didn't. So it was probably JUST ME, but it gave me an allergic reaction. Beware, Proactiv IS NOT hypoallergenic. It's not like they said anywhere that it was, but it isn't, just saying.

Cons:

Worsens acne conditions. Terrible customer service. Won't stand by their return policy. Way over priced. Secretly rips you off.

After I relocated to FL my skin got really bad. I finally hit rock bottom and decided to try Proactive. My face started to get even worse. I figured it was the impurities coming out and continued using it. My skin just got worse and worse, MASIVE breakouts. So I canceled it. But they sent me the next shipment anyhow saying it was already sent out early before the 30 days so I would have it before my 30 days was up. I was charged for the 2nd shipment more than once since it's a larger shipment. Sent both back before the 60 days were up, got confirmation from tracking saying it arrived on time, and the stupid company still won't refund me. I hate them. What a rip off. Way to take advantage of people in a sensitive situation. DON'T DO IT!! My skin started clearing up after I stopped using it!

Cons:

Does not work and burned my skin.

I was told to pay only $19.95 for the trial, and then they charged me 39.95 every month out of my credit card. once you sign up to use the product they will charge you every month, and you have call them to cancel the service yourself. I got charged twice + 19.95 =99.85 you can go see a dermatologist with that kinds of money. DO NOT BUY OR TRIAL waste time and money

A COMPELTE RIP OFF!!!

This company is a TOTAL rip off. I ordered this product for my niece and it did absolutely nothing to improve the acne on her face. I called to cancel my subscription and was told I had to return the product in which I did. I was initially charged $19.95 for the trial. The very next month I was charged $39.95 for product I no longer had, so I called again and was told another shippment was sent 3 days prior, now keep in mind I had cancelled my subscription the previous month and sent the initial product to them and yet they were still charging my account and sending products. I returned the second shippment and received a refund of $39.95 a month later, then they charged another $19.95 from my account 4 days after I got the refund. I had to actually call my bank and cancel my bankcard to avoid future fees from this company. DO NOT BUY, it's a trap and they will continue to bill and send you products, and keep in mind also that you have to pay to send the product back everytime!!

Pros:

- You can return the product if it doesn't work.

- To make it even more efficient, you can purchase a 120 day supply at Costco for $65. If it doesn't work, you can return it straight to Costco and not have to worry about return shipping.

- Customer service is A+. Any questions were patiently answered and cancelling the membership is super easy.

Cons:

- dried my skin out until it was flaky
- skin looked like it was burnt
- acne did not go away

I was finally convinced by all the commercials that I had to try Proactiv. I had high hopes but my skin just looked worse and worse. With Proactiv After using it I still had acne but my skin was now peeling. My husband at one point said it looked like my face had been burnt. That is never good. I called Proactiv and talked to a representative and was told that this was normal and to cut back on using it. I was also told to give it 6 - 8 weeks to see results. I followed the directions yet my skin still looked horrible. Thankfully, I was able to return it. Proactiv does work on some. My sister and a dear friend swear by it but it is not for everyone and obviously not for me!

Pros:

Gentle on your skin

Cons:

expensive
not potent

I started using pro active years ago, and it seriously use to be really good. in the last couple years though they changed their formula to "New Proactive" and it totally screwed everything up for me. Those of us who used old pro active probably remember it PREVENTED acne super well, not so much got rid of existing acne, but if you could get your face clear, and use pro active every day it stopped acne in its tracks. Heres what noticeably changed about proactive... the toner use to be extremely potent and strong, it use to tingle and sometimes burn sometimes when applied, but it went deep into pores, giving you a refreshing feeling, as well as giving your skin a certain glow, now the made the toner significantly weaker due to people who complain about it drying out their skin... also the repairing lotion, which use to be more of just a bp ointment, is now actually more of a moisturizer with bp in it. So before i stopped doing proactive it would leave my skin extremely oily - no longer gave me the proactive skin glow - and had even less power than it had before (It was already never good at getting rid of acne, just good at preventing and now its preventive power was significantly weakened).

Their ads are very deceiving... they say, "Trial Version," but in reality they take different amounts from your account. I returned the product after call, my cost to return the item, around $15 to return it, and still, no refund. I even called them and all they said was, "We are sorry you were not satisfied." The product did not work. No results. I feel my money would have been better spent going to a "Real" skin doctor. I only have an occassional breakout, sooo... If you don't mind money being taken out! Then sign up! The $20 will cost you well over $100.00++++
