Pros:

It did reduce my blemishes

Cons:

Face never really got clear
8 weeks and counting, still no refund for my unopened, $100, 90 day kit

It doesn't work any better than other products that you can get at WalMart. So I decided instead of trying to get a refund for the product I had used, I just sent back the new products they automatically sent me which was a 90 day kit that they billed me about $100 for. I sent it back 8 weeks ago, unopened, I had chacked with customer service and I was still in th ereimbursement window. I have not gotten a rfund yet. Buyer beware, this is a subscription program and they don't send 30 day kits after your introductory kit, they send 90 day kits. It is easy to get them to cancel future shipments, but once they have one coming to your house, good luck getting your money back!!!! But, I do suggest that you try Max Clarity. That syatem has totally cleared my skin. I have had bad acne with most blemished being the ones that feel like really big hard lumps under the skin that take a couple weeks to go away. I haven't had a big blemish like that since I started using Max Clarity 2 months ago. It worked fast and has been th ebest thing I have tried including prescription treatments.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Expensive
Terrible customer Service
Got Acne in places never had it
Didnt work!
False hope

I registered at this place specially to tell my tale of how horrible proactive is. Not on did it not work AT ALL for me, it in fact made me break out in places I had no acne where the soultion dripped onto (neck area) and the zits were bit and hurt. After canceling proactive, I continued to get billed for it for 3 months straight! Many calls to them and I still havent been refunded my 70+ dollars. What a waste! My advise is go with something you can buy at the local drug store or if its super bad, like in my case visit a doctor.

Pros:

Worked at first; Cleared up my pimples, fixed my skin complexion.

Cons:

Dried my skin out, stopped working after a couple months, created little crater like things in my skin.

I don't have severe acne or anything, but I do always have at least 3 or 4 pimples. When I first started using ProActiv, it worked. It cleared up all my pimples. After a week or two of using it, it dried up my skin. I started using an extra face moisturizer on top of the products. That worked for a while, until I started noticing that I was getting little craters in my skin. They were like mini little holes. I stopped using it after that, and my mom called to cancel the monthly supply. They asked why, and my mom explained what had happened. They sent me a gentler solution to try for free, which, in my opinion, did nothing. Proactiv did NOT work for me, but I do know at least 2 people who rely on it and it works well for them. I'd just say it's bad for people with realllly sensitive skin.

Pros:

Gets rid of pimples
Makes skin look better just by putting it on
Worked for me for 2 years
Does cause skin to flake like maxclarity

Cons:

First use, it irritates skin
Stopped working for me after I hit 18
Toner runs out before others
Wish there was more of the Repairing lotion

I first started using it at 16 and it cleared out all my white-heads and pimples. I saw results in a few weeks and I never stopped using it night and day for 2 years. But after I hit 18, for some reason, my Proactive just stopped working. I don't know if it's because of stress, or my skin had gotten used to it, or if there was a formula change. I quit, but since this product had served me so well over the past years, I might try it again in the future after trying out other products. I think maybe I needed to use more of the product since I consistently used the same amount as I did when I first started using it.

Pros:

Cleared my skin up for about a week or two
Good for spot treatment, not

Cons:

Strips all the oil from your face (BAD!)
Didn't stop new acne from forming
Left skin dull and grey

I've been going through a lot of stress with school and personal matters and its manifested itself on my face in moderate acne. I looked to proactive to help clear up my skin, and remember using it in highschool and it did a wonderful job. However, I didn't have the same luck with it this time around. I have very oily skin, and since it is so harsh and drying, it will strip ALL the essential oils away from your skin, leaving your skin even oilier, since its trying to overproduce to make up for lost oil. It cleared up a few areas that I was having problems with, but it hasn't stopped new ones from forming. I'm still dealing with the problem. The worst part about this system, is that it does not leave your skin, looking beautiful, clear and healthy. The harsh chemicals just make it look dull and irritated and in my case a lot more oilier. I am starting to use other face wash, toner and moisturizer and use the 3 step treatment ONLY on the actual pimple because I would seriously rather have healthy looking skin with a few pimples I can cover with makeup, than flakey, oil, dull and grey skin! All in all, I would say find another treatment, it is HARSH on skin, might clear up a little acne but leaves your skin looking horrible!

Pros:

nice smell
some effect on acne

Cons:

not very effective
YOU WILL BREAKOUT IF YOU SKIP A DAY

I have been using proactiv for about 3 months now. I've used it before, but wasn't very consistent, so i tried it again, this time using it every morning and night. So, three months in the only thing that's improved is maybe my skin texture and about 30 percent of my acne is gone. Honestly, if none of the skin care systems work, you should go to your dermatoligist, and if nothing else there's always accutane.
