Pros:

It clears up your skin... at first

Cons:

Left my skin irritated, red, blotchy, and dry. I have extremely oily skin, and I thought this would work.

It works miracles for some... and is a disaster for most. Don't believe the hype, and it's really expensive and not worth it. Stick to Neutrogena and Biore!

Pros:

after the first week or so my pores appeared to be smaller

Cons:

My skin was in terrible condition after using this product for 1 month. I suffered from the worst acne I have ever had and scarring, which I have never had before. This product is horrible.

Do not use this product. I started using this before my wedding to clear up a few pimples. The result was terrible cystic acne, dryness, scarring, and redness, not to mention the pain from the acne. This is by far the worst product I have ever used.

Basically, I got proactive to just clear up the few pimples I always got, but ultimately, proactive gave me the worst acne I had ever had. I thought that maybe it was the whole "it gets worse before it gets better" thing, so I continued to use it. But before I had even finished the trial bottles or had a chance to use the money back warranty thing, they sent me more. Eventually I just canceled and stopped using proactive and used some stuff I got from walgreens, and my face cleared up nicely. But I still had the scars from all the acne proactive gave me. So now I use a product called Exposed, and I saw results first morning after I used it. I have never talked to anyone that used proactive that said it worked for them. And it sure as heck ruined my skin, and that was the last thing I was asking for when paying 60$. So just because proactive has all those infomercials, I would recommend looking into other acne products.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Aggrivates skin, too expensive for what it is.

Proactiv does NOT work. I have had pimples for four years and I had used everything from creams to prescription antibiotics. My skin wasn't too bad but I really wanted to have clear, unblemished skin. When I saw proactiv on television I couldn't believe my eyes, I had a true belief that proactiv was going to be my solution. The day my package arrived I was so excited and went straight to work at getting my skin renewed. Four weeks down the track my skin was covered in sore, red acne, worse than I've ever had before. I went to the dermatoligist who told me I must stop using proactiv and go on roaccutaine. I now had severe acne. Now after being on roaccutaine for two weeks my skin has calmed down, and I am seeing my face becoming clearer than it has been in a long time. Perhaps proactiv works for some, but I personally would not recommend it for someone with sensitive and spotty skin. Proactiv is pure crap and it ruined my skin.

Pros:

There is nothing pro about proactiv

Cons:

I got the worst breakouts after using the product because I never had breakouts under chin and using this product made it worst.

The CUSTOMER SERVICE is so bad because when I try to cancel my account they just want to try to sell another products forcefully and I tried to cancel my account through several e-mails but they never respond to e-mails at all but if we try to buy their product they will respond to you almost immediately.

Pros:

NONE

Cons:

If you have mild acne this is a HORRIBLE product it just makes your acne worse by completely drying out your skin!

It may work if you have severe acne but if you have mild to medium acne DO NOT buy this product it is horrible. I really dont believe that Jessica Simpson uses this NO WAY!

Pros:

cleans well

Cons:

irritates, inflames, causes hyperpigmentation, doesnt remove oil well, expensive, doesnt clear up acne or clear up pores

I have used the whole Proactiv system for the year of 2005 and I have to say it is a horrible system! Its main approach to battling acne is over-drying and blackening the skin. Its ingredients cause wrinkles, and increase sun damage (photosensitivity) and it so expensive it RAPES YOUR WALLET! 1) The cleanser 0/5 - very harsh, gritty and doesn't remove sunscreen/moisturizer very well. Leaves skin feeling "unclean" meaning it still feels oily. It cant be used over eyes or your EYES WILL BURN! It darkens acne marks and leaves skin red and inflammed. 2) The toner 1/5 - contains glycolic acid which sweeps away dead dry skin cells and also doesnt have alcohol. HOWEVER, it does nothing to clean up pores (lack of BHA perhaps) and it leaves skin sticky and feeling tight. 3) The Repairing Lotion 1/5 - Causes wrinkles (BP is very drying), darkens skin tone by increasing sun sensitivity and causing post inflammatory pigmentation! Makes skin rough, looking aged and doesnt clea

the cleanser hurts! the first time I washed my face (with a gentle facewash called Purity) after stopping proactiv I was so relieved, I couldn't stop smiling. AND proactiv it made it worse...instincts told me the lotion (2.5 benzoyl peroxide) was a good thing, then I found this website, and started using bezoyl peroxide again, sans the proactiv wash and toner
