Pros:

- Cleared some pimples

Cons:

- Dries skin
- Only works for awhile

It took about a month to get rid of my cystic acne. Now I only get mild acne, but Proactiv doesn't seem to be working anymore(I've been using it for 2 1/2 months now). Plus, it makes my skin really dry. =(

Pros:

-reduced oil in my T-Zone and makes my skin silky smooth
-evens out my skin tone VERY well
-was easy to incorporate in my morning/night routines

Cons:

-expensive
-ABSOLUTELY CANNOT SKIP A CLEANSING. MUST BE DONE EVERY MORNING AND NIGHT.

The bottom line is this: ProActiv does work. It's just not the "miracle cure" that the infomercials make it out to be. I'm African American and it is EXTREMELY hard to find products that agree with my skin tone and help reduce scarring and ProActiv has evened out my skin tone almost perfectly; i just have a few dark blemishes that'll probably never go away. I can run my fingers over my face and its smooth and soft for the first time in like 3 years! I went from having between 5-10 pimples on my face at a time and now (ive been using ProActive for 4.5 weeks) I have one pimple on my chin. I was SUPER SKEPTICAL about using this product but I was desperate... but here I am a month later and I'm no longer embarassed if my boyfriend touches my face because it feels smooth. :-)

Pros:

meh

Cons:

meh

the first time i used it, it cleared me up pretty well, but i had very few pimples back then. The second time, it did not work at all. I saw no results. But it did not cause any redness or drying for me, it was very gentle on my skin. It will work if you have few small pimples, if you have big cysts and areas of redness... it won't. Use only if you have mild acne, for moderate-severe, please go to a derm.

Pros:

i have used this proactive for bout a year
and it took a while but i did see results .skin was sometimes burn from the toner.love the exfoliate and the repairing lotion.my skin looked brighter and the acne got smaller but didnt go away completley

Cons:

acne is mostly on my cheeks and forehead very oily skin i notice the acnebumps got smaller but did not go away and as soon as i stopped they were back again .

its only good while your using its a quick fix for the momemt too much money and bottles too small for the price .would like to find something that will cure it altogether .not keep coming back and get rid of dark spots on my cheeks

I use proactive and eXposed Skin Care, both of these products doesn't works. But explosed is far more worse then proactive. Re-billing of exposed is also not very good. Does anybody have a similar experience? Check this website, I found it while surfing web. [link removed]

Pros:

I used this for 2 years. In the beginning, it was great. Less acne. But all of a sudden, BOOM! Acne breakouts every week and I didn't change a single thing! It seems like you get used to it. I don't know.

Cons:

Way to expensive

Not good for the long term

Pros:

the Refining Mask is where the money is at - wish they sold it separately. Put that on ur zit, and it's zapped within 2 days. Also leaves a great smooth after-feeling.

Cons:

I broke out more when I started to use this - mainly on my cheeks. And with 2 months of use, I still kept having minor but consistent cheek breakouts, which left scars. It also stings and makes ur skin feel like its burning.

I wouldn't invest in the $45 they charge for the set, when all u really want is the nice Refining Mask. It doesn't do much difference, and it's too strong on my face. I used moisturizer and eventually only used the product every OTHER day cuz that's how strong it was. I would buy the kit, squeeze out the refining mask into a containter, then return the whole kit to Proactiv and get my money back. LOL. I would've faired better with clearisil + benzoyl peroxide or something and saved $30. But hey, at least I crossed one product off the list... 10 million more to go. DARN ACNE.

Pros:

It makes your skin feel really clean and healthy. It makes your skin tone more visibly even and healthy looking.

Cons:

It does nothing to help with your acne. It dried out my skin, and made it flaky. Acne still kept coming up, and it worked no better than the o.t.c. meds at Wal-Mart.

Don't waste your money. I was discouraged by these before I used it, and I ordered it anyway, and it did exactly what everyone on here said it did; NOTHING! Don't waste your time and money. Spend a little more and go to the derm. They will prescribe you with something that actually works! Good Luck:P

Pros:

cleared up some minor white heads on my forehead and area around my nose...only where it was oily it helped

Cons:

Caused major break out on the sides of my face where i had perfect skin and to this day (2 years later) the sides of my face are the worst part of my acne now..left scarring and is prone to acne now

it worked ok on my oily parts but on the normal skin it ruined it...if i had just waited 2 years to grow out of my acne i would have nice skin now...my forehead and around the nose were my big problems before and now its fine and only the sides of my face are still breaking out thanks to pro activee... im going to reccoend this to people with mild acne and oily skin..

Pros:

I had immediate results and I loved it!

Cons:

But after using it for about 9 months, it doesn't get better. It doesn't get worse or better. You just get stuck in a rut, but it's more tolerable than before.

It did not change my skin type too much. I've always had oily skin and now it's less oily. It helped a lot. It actually is the only product I've tried though. When I use proactiv i also take this sulfur based pill called Clearac ([link removed]) and THAT made all the difference in the world. in combonation it worked the best. Try clearac!!
