Pros:

I have just started using Proactiv on my face for last 2 weeks but there is no improvement on my face. I heard it will take 3 weeks to 1 month to show the result. So, I can't say anything just wanna try...lets see it wroks for me or not?

Cons:

It made my skin darker. I don't know why...... very strange.

Pros:

Improves, but doesn't eliminate bumps (adult acne)

Cons:

Burns and reddens my skin; dries my skin out.

When I use the product as reccomended twice daily, my skin gets VERY irritated. I can only use the once per day because the burning becomes too painful if I use it more often. The product works somewhat, but it is by no means a "miracle" product for treating acne.

Pros:

It dries you out at first... but then it does clear your skin....
you get flaky but with anything... when you have eccessive oil... you will have flay & oily skin....

Cons:

you dry out then it clears up, the back and forth...I've been using it for 2 years... it does clear u up but doesn't stay clear for months at a time...

for me... even if it doesn't stay clear for months at a time... it's worth the clear times that it does give my face.. it has helped me more than regular foamy cleansers/washes...

Pros:

Cleared skin completely.
Eliminated ALL redness from pimples. and even all over my face.

Cons:

the fact that you cant miss ONE time. though its easy to keep track of

Pros:

Clears up mild to moderate acne.

Cons:

Very drying on older skin.

It is the best over the counter product I have used. Have suffered with acne since I was 13 and am now 38 and have tried everything. The sensitive line worked better for my skin type. It was much less drying and still worked well. If you don't use all three steps everyday you will still breakout.

Pros:

it does feel like the pimples are going down

extremely dry and sore
wearing makeup does not do anything because you're face is so dry. Looks flaky and doesn't give you any coverage from make ups.

i've used this product last year for two or three weeks and gave up because it made my face soo dry, around my nose and my mouth. Naturally w/o the help of proactiv, my face did clear up but after using the wrong foundation from chanel, pimples started to come back on my face so bad. Never broke out like that ever. After talking to my friends about it - i decided to give proactiv another go. All my friends had great results from using proactiv (they all have extremly oily skin but I'm combination). You're meant to use it once a day for the first week and twice a day after the first week - didn't know that before and used it as much as I can - and I'm trying my best to stick to the plan. I have severe acne on my face, and yes it does feel like it is going down a little (small pimples on the side of my eyes seemed to go down). And i'm still in my first week. I'll have to use it for a longer time to see the "success" of proactiv.

Pros:

Cleanser leaves face feeling fresh
toner moisturizes nicely

Cons:

Repairing lotion leaves skin feeling oily
Only maintains skins clarity for a short while, almost become immune to the product

I have moderate acne around my mouth and chin. I began proactive solution 2 years or so ago and at first i loved it! It made the texture of my skin amazing, smooth and clean feeling. Then all of the sudden it just seems to take a drop. It stopped working. I no longer see any improvement, not getting worse but no better either. I feel as though proactive is too harsh and over time you experience the side effects from the harsh chemicals used in it. I just ordered some murad so hopefully that works.

Pros:

got rid of my few blemishes, gave me soft and smooth skin

Cons:

dryyyyyy skin, like SUPERRR DRY! my face was literally cracking apart...their repairing lotion is far from a moisturizer...i stopped using proactive for 2 weeks and got my pimples back :(

Kind of pricey, however it does give me that blemish-free skin i desire. Although, a good oil-free moisturizer is essential. The benzoyl peroxide really dries out the skin.

Pros:

Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth

Cons:

Makes your face itch, delicate skin becomes itchy and red, blemishes return when skin adjusts to treatment.

The product intially works well, but any deviation from the regime usually means a new breakout, while you may continue to break out after a couple of months regardless of your usage. This product does nothing for dry or oily skin, and often creates flakey patches. Infection from blemishes disappears but the redness stays around for extended periods of time. I recommend the cleanser, but not continual use of multiple products.

Pros:

keeps acne from coming back..............thats bout it

Cons:

not strong neough(i switched to extra strength), doesnt work on blackheads, took 4 months to see results, still had oily skin, sunlight killed my skin with sunscreen and even in short amounts

worked on pimples not on blackheads, takes awhile but works pretty good.
