Pros:

Makes my skin feel softer.

Cons:

When I first got it I thought the bottle would be bigger, so that was a little misleading and then I started using it. I do have VERY sensitve skin but my face felt like it does when you get a really bad sunburn. Especially when I get hot and sweat. Plus my husband doesnt care for the smell so when he went to kiss me he would cringe.

Im still giving it a try at least for another week and if I dont notice anything then Im going to give it to my mom, maybe she will like it.

Pros:

i love it... i have only used for days and already my skin looks and feels better

Cons:

none

bottom line is people DO NOT use it correctly so its not proactive its YOU!!!!!! it will not dry your skin out unless you misuse it or dont follow directions about not using certain parts if you do dry out.. its one of the number one selling acne products so it must do something great...btw if you want to have nice skin no matter what product you use you will have to stay on it or your skin will break out.. research it i have because im a nursing major.. i used clinque and i broke when i didnt use it....you just have to find what works for you

Pros:

Works at first

Cons:

Extremely drying & not THAT effective on spots
Expensive
Some products run out quicker than others

When I first started using proactive I really thought Id found the right solution for my mild/moderate acne. However, after a couple of months, my skin started to peel real bad especially round my mouth and eyes to the point where I couldnt wear makeup Also, it really tightens and stings your face I recently booked a glycolic peel and when the girl examined my skin before treatment through a machine, she said it was so dehydrated and that I should stop using proactive immediately - I could actually see all the dry bits highlighted in purple & it looked really bad. Im going to phone proactive today to arrange a return & my money back. Hopefully they'll honour their money back deal!

Pros:

None... total waste of money

Cons:

Dryness and irrational occured. / Price is too high. / Horrible Customer service. / They kept charging me even though I cancelled the membership service.

Everybody has different skins and different reaction to certain product. But I don't really understand those good reviews on the internet because all of my friends who tried this horrifying product, had bad experiences. Their skin conditions got worse and for some of them, proactive did not do anything to their acne. So all of my friends (include me) wasted our money on it because, we used it for almost a year. Price is also too high, I used basic 3 steps for $39.99 and I was automatically joined to the proactive membership club or something. I personally think that proactive is bit pricey due to their commercials and stuff. They do too much ad on tv and magazines... ANYWAY, BEAWARE! it MIGHT works for you, but from my experience, Proactive is a total waste of money!

Pros:

UMMMM.....none

Cons:

my skin got really dry and i hate how it feels. I thought it was supposed to work, my skin is worse now than when i started.

DO NOT buy it....i look at my face now and I hate it. I kept on giving it time, but nothing. If you miss a day, all hell brakes loose.

Pros:

Have been using Proactiv for about 10 years...that speaks for itself :)

Cons:

repairing lotion will bleach towels/pillow cases. I do not care for mask, irritates my skin and smells bad.

I am 47, often get compliments on my complexion. when I say that I use Proactiv, the response is always..."why? you don't have any blemishes" that is when I smile and say...it's the Proactiv. if skin is irritated, try using once a day. keep in mind, a little does a lot, so use the repairing lotion sparingly. amazing how much a little can do! I use 5 piece system, auto-delivery from QVC (cleanser/toner/repair/bodywash/moiturizer) body wash is great for chest/shoulder breakouts.

proactive isn't really the cure I would recommend for young teens like me. Others are better than paying a fortune on something that celebrities incourage that doesn't work for teens that have a hard life with acne.Good luck for everyone that has a better chance for clear skin

Pros:

Cleared (most of) my skin
Made it softer

Cons:

Still get frequent blemishes
Extremely drying
My skin still gets oily mid-day
Toner runs out very fast

I started using this product about a year ago. I was fourteen and I was fed up with my acne that had been moderate/highly moderate for the past two years. I saw the commercials and decided to finally give this product a try, seeing as I had been all over the board with about five or six other products. I ordered it and it was shipped to my house. I began using it and I broke out, but then after about a month or two my skin began to become clearer, but I still couldn't get rid of the acne. After about six months my skin began to begin to clear up for the most part, but I was never fully clear. I still use it now (along with Neutrogena Moisturising Lotion, which seemed to be the only thing that worked) and I'm tired of looking into the mirror and seeing acne. I'm about to switch products.
