Pros:

LIFE SAVER

Cons:

BURNS A BIT... YOU MUST USE IT AS DIRECTED

This stuff really works... just be consistent with it... believe me

Pros:

Pleasant scent, easily available, pretty packaging

Cons:

Expensive, may not work for you, causes problems you NEVER had before.

I bought ProActiv last Sunday and used it per the directions: 1x a day for 3 days, 2x Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Thursday my face began to itch; I figured it was allergies- it's springtime, lots of pollen & all. Saturday, my sister asked if I had scratched my face because I had red, itchy bumps on my jawline & cheeks.(very red to be visible on me as I'm very brown) Today, I woke up with medium sized, itchy, painful bumps that were horrible! They look like they might have been pimples w/o skin on top, basically open sores!! I washed with a glycerin soap, dabbed on peroxide and I'm hoping they go away. I have to go to work tomorrow in an elementary school looking like I was smacked with a boar bristle brush!

Pros:

Good price for what you get, it cleared up my skin in DAYS, haven't used it for too long so I don't know whether my skin will get "immune." My skin is not drying out, pores are smaller, scars I've had for months decreased the very 1st time I used it!

Cons:

? None yet!

I am getting married in July and finally decided to seriously attack my acne problem. In the past, I have tried all the creams/pills that dermatolgists prescribe; I paid hundreds of dollars on stuff that didn't work. I even switched birth control pills and gained 3 pounds in an attempt to decrease the hormones that cause acne(men: you are lucky you don't have to worry about that !!). I was 2 weeks away from beginning an Accutane regimen with my Dermatologist. Something tells me that for my relatively mild case of acne, she would get a "kickback" from the pharmaceutical companies for signing me up; that is how pushy she was that I try Accutane(even though it would cause me to have to abort a child if I should become pregnant! Who wants those chemicals in their body if it isn't completely necessary??) My suggestion: try Proactiv, what can you lose? If you hate it, stop immediately and try something else.

Pros:

Truly does help acne

Cons:

Doesn't completely stop acne

I would still get breakouts, but it was MUCH less often while using proactiv. I think it's a great product, but am trying different options. Russell [link removed]

Pros:

Great ads and comercials but other than that it is useless

Cons:

It wont work! I used it for one yr and a half not and my skin looks the same. I used every day.

You should try somethiing else, keep trying, try proactiv too it may work for you! Best way is to see a doc and get a laser treatment which can be expensive though

Pros:

IT SUCKS

Cons:

didn't work even a little bit. had a weird smell. burned my skin when applied.

ADVICE: stop guessing, go to a dermatologist, not a doctor. my doctor made me try 1000000 useless creams before sending me to a dermatologist.

-do not buy. -does not work. -jessica simpson's a liar.

Pros:

Its affordable and its shipment is speedy.
Cleared up my acne for four months and had a nice smell, but...

Cons:

The face broke out even more! According to my friend who used it, it peeled away the top layer of skin and left it vunerable to more ACNE! It was terrible! My face got use to the product!

Proactiv, even though it sounded promising, it wasn't cut out to be everything I had expected. Proactiv delievered clear skin, but it killed my face and left me with even worse acne than before. I recommned to acne victims, do not fall for Jessica Simpson's claims - they are false!

Pros:

It controlled most acne problems I had. All my big pimples and most of the painful stuff went away and never came back. I had pretty bad breakouts when I began the product and after a month, everything cleared up dramatically.

Cons:

Although it cleared up major stuff, I discovered that if I missed using it for a day I would have an immediate small breakout. I had to experiment with frequency of use, time of year, etc. until I finally found a daily routine that worked.

People's skin is different. I think that if Proactiv doesn't start improving your skin after a month or two, you should stop using it and look to other things. I also think that you should try different combinations. I've found that if I wash my face in the shower twice with the cleanser, rarely use the toner, sparingly use the moisturizer, and treat bad spots with hot water and facial mask before bed, I have fantastic results. It's really all about experimenting and finding what works. But of course, don't go out and mix prescription medicines or anything.

Pros:

Not that expensive

Cons:

Didnt work in the long run.

Worked for about 2 weeks then stopped working. My dermatologist laughed at the though of the use of proactive and the people at proactive had comical reaction of a dumfounded "What??" when I told them that it stopped working.

Pros:

The smell is pleasant. I've never had clearer skin since I was a child.

Cons:

Expensive and you have to buy a whole system.

I have really sensitive skin and less than moderate acne. Going through the 3 step system dried out my skin really badly. I'm aware that this is common for a few weeks but the dry skin lasted longer than that and I was using a great moisturizer at the same time. Eventually, I decided to only use the Repairing Lotion 2x a day and the Toner only in the morning. My skin is still clear as when I was following the 3 steps but without the icky dry skin. I only use the Cleanser when my face feels like it needs it.
