Pros:

It clears up most acne. Simple 3 steps and you're done.

Cons:

Throughout the 6 yrs I used it I had numerous really bad breakouts. I also started developing large deep cysts on my chin. Stopped using Proactiv and the acne made a major comeback, but the cysts went away.

The product works well, unless you're sensitive to ANY of the ingredients. For me, my skin reacted bad to the fragrance added to the product, and the Zinc Oxide in the moisturizer is an acne trigger for me. If you do not have a lot of sensitivities then it will probably work for you. It does bleach towels and clothes and everything else.

Pros:

Been using it for 3 weeks, and so far it works great. My skin has cleared up considerably and feels so soft and smooth. My husband insists my skin has a glow to it, and i feel comfortable now going out without makeup.

Cons:

You have to wash the cleanser off properly. The beads in the cleanser can clog your pores and create blemishes. Follow the directions properly and you will see results.

I hope the results last. I use it twice a day, and don't notice dryness. I also use a vitamin e oil free moisturizer with sun protection and it helps under makeup. Please use follow the directions and take time to use the product properly. All I can say about the price is that if this system works for you, its worth the price.

Pros:

My skin is smoother and brighter. Less breakouts than before I started using it. Smells really nice. I especially love using the refining mask as a spot treatment - works really well.

Cons:

Doesn't 100% control breakouts (but is better than anything else I have used)

For me, this is the best over-the-counter system I have tried. No other cleanser, toner, or acne cream has ever come close the the results that I have gotten so far from Proactiv. I will continue using it as long as it is effective. I just hope it does not start to loose effectiveness.

Pros:

It worked for Jessica Simpson.

Cons:

Dries skin and in turn makes it oily. Causes wierd rashes. Just sucks overall.

Used this when I was younger and will NEVER go back to it. Its been around for years and the truth is theres better stuff out there now(ex. RetinaMicro). I think JS's getting older really cleared her acne but I guess she needs the endorsement money so she supports it(thats just my theory,though).

Pros:

Works OK for about a week

Cons:

Too expensive, not very effective, right when it seems like your face is clearing up you break out again.

Don't waste your money on this stuff, pay the extra money to go to a dermatologist and get a prescription; that's the only thing that works. After you first order it call them right away and cancel it because they will send you bigger bottles and more useless creams that don't work and charge you A LOT more than the $19.99 as advertised in their commercials.

Pros:

-clears up your acne within 2-3 weeks
-cheap compared to the many different solutions i've already tried

Cons:

-smells bad for a few minutes
-repairing treatment can look oily if you don't dab off after a few minutes

I had really bad acne, even cystic acne all the time all in my t-zone. I started proactiv and used regularly for about 6 months only skipping a morning here or there. Now I only get the occasional little white head due to hormones (i'm a teenager). I've been using it for over 2 years now and i am so much more confident now. and the best part is that i can now go for days at a time without using it and i still remain acne free. however the repairing treatment can dry out your face first which is why i always used clean n' clear moisturizer before using the toner or moisturizer and i now have smooth moisturized skin. Try this product and stick with it for a month or so. It can take time.

I LOVE this stuff. My skin was rediculously dry before I stared using Proactive. This product used with the Daily Oil Control and Oil Free Moisture has cleared most of my pimples and all of the dryness in a matter of 3 weeks. Almost time for kit #2!!! Highly recommended

HORRIBLE customer service!!

I'm happy for those people that this product worked for unfortunately I am not one of them. My face completely broke out in a raised rash and then peeled off. I then had to begin the two month process of canceling my account. Absolutely ridiculous! I which I had never tried it!
