Pros:

it helps at first

Cons:

it works at first..the stops..you'll never have clear skin like they say. even when you use the product correctly, you'll get a pimple or more..
dries skin. reddness..

it works at first. does help, but they lie about the fact that you'll get clear skin. you still end up getting pimples.

DO NOT USE PROACTIVE. I used it for three days and on the fourth morning, woke up with a deep red, itchy, burning face with tiny bumps all over. Did not improve after three days and went to see a dematologist today. I got steroid presciption (both oral and topical). Used it tonight. I am really hoping that the bumps will go away. As of now, my skin is completely ruined! Do anyne else have similar experience? Did the bumps go away? Please give me hope...

Ruined my complection

I began using the proactiv about a year ago. I didnt have severe acne or really acne at all. I used it for the occasional pimple here and there. I used as directed though. I quit using it as I saw no difference. Days later I began getting what is referred to as cystic acne my dermatologist said. These are gigantic pimples/Cysts underneath the skin that get no white or black head so they cant be easily popped. They are the worst to try to get rid of. She said it was caused by my skin getting used to the proactive system. When I stopped it basically ruined my skin. I had a nice complection. This is the worst thing Ive ever done. Great marketing scheem Proactiv.

Pros:

Dis produt was good for my skin. I liked it and it cleared up me skin. My acne comes and goes but for de most part it clears up my skin, man. The refining mask was da best ting in da package.

Cons:

Dis stuff can dry up ure skin. For people wit dry skin, only use once a day. Da price isnt too bad if you wanna get clear skin.

I would recomend buying dis product. It is good and made me skin look and feel better den before. It is worth the cost and keep at using it unitl you grow out of your acne faze.

Pros:

decreased my pimples in different locations on my skin.

Cons:

This program did not work for me the first 2 days it worked and then my face became extremely red, dry, flaky, red blotches. i just threw out the proactiv and its a money waster.

dries out your skin, makes your face red for 2 days.

DRIED OUT SKIN!!! flaky and YUCK! Be prepared to spend more than the monthly fee. Refining mask was great, but when it ran out, the pimlpes came back slowly.My complexion may be clear but my forehead shines and I still have my pimples and I've been u

If pimples aren't frustrating enough, Proactiv could add more stress induced pimples. Please think twice and do research before commiting to this.

i got my money back

It made my skin worse. also the toner smelled like something awful.

I have tried benzoyl peroxide products before and none of them irritated my skin as badly as this had. I was hoping this product would clear a few small blemishes I had, however, I now have a face full of cystic acne after using Proactiv, and they still have yet to vanish from my face, two months after emerging. I followed the instruction religiously for two months and I never saw any sign of improvement.

Pros:

AMAZING! clears us everything!!!!

Cons:

must stay consistent with the products, must use all the products together everyday

You have to use at least the first three products together every single day, once or twice a day depending on how dry your skin gets. It does get expensive, but if you use it consistently the product is so worth it. It does not work for some people because they do not follow the instructions and use way too much of the lotion. Just use little amounts of everything and it works great. AND USE IT EVERYDAY!

Pros:

clears up existing acne, reduces oil, prevents acne, clears up existing acne scars, acne goes away faster

Cons:

dries out skin, makes skin flaky if moisturizer is not used, can't buy in stores, not enough product provided

I used to get hormonal break outs and some cystic acne that would last a couple weeks and leave scars. Now, I only get the occasional pimple which clears up with in a week. My existing acne scars are fading. My face isn't as oily as it used to be. The only bad aspect is that it dries out my skin and leaves it flaky if I don't moisturize. Also, the kit ships every other month and I usually use up all of the face scrub a few weeks before the replenishment is sent to me. Other than that, Proactive is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone looking for ways to help clear and prevent acne break outs.
