Pros:

At first, the toner would make my skin glow. Didn't last long though.

Cons:

It's only made me break out more. I have had the worst pimples in my life since using it. I've even developed a few very painful and large cystic pimples that now have scared my face.

I ordered this product hoping to clear up simple problems such as clogged pores, black heads and the occassional pimple but ended up getting opposite results. I understand that some acne products/medications tend to make your skin worse at first and then will eventually clear it up....that didn't happen in my case. It just keeps getting worse. I canceled my membership w/ Proactiv this week and I'm hoping that my face can just go back to normal. I rather get the occassional pimple than scars.

Pros:

Works really well, will clear up pimples

Cons:

Dryness

I used this product a couple years ago and wasn't patient enough to let it work.. Now i'm giving it another go around and I love it. It's clearing up my skin very nicely. Only complaint is the dryness so after the repairing lotion I use my arbonne night cream (before bed) that helps a lot, plus the arbonne is an amazing cream in itself! I actually just use it before bed, and in the morning I have an oatmeal/honey/almond facial scrub I made which helps slush off the dry skin. My skin just looks better and better everyday! Hope it works for you!

Pros:

i used this product for 4 months straight- it seemed to work for the first month- but after i was back to regular acne.

Cons:

stopped working, and you need a side moisturizer- because this product will dry out your skin. plus it burns a little.

I'm 18 with a hormone inbalance and weird cycles (cause my combonation moderate acne) + dry skin and it did not work for me... so i stopped using it and now use dove white bar soap = persa gel 10 by clean and clear and clean and clean moisturizer- and im noticing a difference due to the persa gel. Proactiv maybe it works better for others, but not so for me! its up to you to try it.

Pros:

It does get rid of pimples for the most part.

Cons:

It burns, it hasnt gotten rid of all of my pimples, my face is peeling like a lizard.

Its good if you dont have sensitive skin, you have to use it religiously or there's no point at all. It has gotten rid of 75% of my pimples and I've only been using it for 5 days. Im at the point now that my face burns BADLY from it and my skin is peeling. Im going to try it for about a month and if nothing changes from this point give up. Its worth a shot.

Pros:

It seems to work decently well after about a month for me, but clearly it works better for some.

Cons:

After that magical month, it no longer has an effect. It seems to be the factor that causes big red cysts zits to appear. It makes your skin very dry, especially around the neck so make sure you use moisturizer. Expensive. MAKES YOUR SKIN SUPER DULL.

Product starts well, sucks later. I could handle the dryness since it was giving me decent results. It stopped causing acne that formed in huge bunches and I just had randoms which I could deal with. It seems though that it doesn't really stop acne from coming, but gets it to go away in about 3 days to a week. Unfortunately even though its clearing those, new ones keep coming in. Now, and the reason I'm even looking on these sites is to find out why my skin is so dull. I usually got a tan going on and couple weeks ago I put my arms beside my face...basically I'm brown in the arms and pale in my face like I havn't been outside in years. After checking it out, I think its the benzoyl peroxide that causes the dullness and pale face but it's just really annoying being that pale. So I just stopped using it like 2 days ago and nothing too intence has happend yet. I'm starting to see new acne forming in new parts so that sucks. Any info on the dullness let me kno @ sousa.j@[link removed]. thanks

Pros:

Cleared skin up, affordable,

Cons:

Slightly drying

I have tried a lot of skin products and nothing has worked as well as Proactive. Compared to other brands, it is very affordable. I also really like their make up and concealer sticks - again very affordable.

Pros:

The cleanser removes dead skin cells. This keeps my face from looking patchy -- with dead skin -- evident in many older people. Also, the cleanser with the toner and lotion do help get rid of pimples almost overnight or 3 days at most.

Cons:

If all three products are used constaly -- more than twice a day (for some people once everyday), your skin will become noticalby red and sentive to the sun's rays -- bet on it. Also, red scares/dots last long.

If your skin is senitve, use all 3 products once in a while.....I started using it 7 years ago...but I had to learn how to use it...when I statred using it, i used to use it 2 or 3 times a day -- big mistake. My skin became very dry and red when in the sun. Then i stated using it in the morings and nights...still a bit of the same -- dry skin and redness but not as bad as using it 2 or 3 times a day. Now, I just stick to the cleanser in the morings and sometimes at night. its prob best to use at night but I always forget or becaome too lazy. My advice is to use the cleanser in the moring and/or night. Then use the toner twice a week at night to help get a deep cleansing and to help remove dead skin cells that make you look old. Also, apply a very thin layer of the lotion on the days that you use the toner (best at night) -- in problem areas (for me its the forhead and nose T-area) or all vover the face. Its good to have all 3 of the products, but I think that the cleanser is enf

Pros:

It was great in clearing up my skin at first.

Cons:

It cut off the pimples so they didn't appear on the surface anymore, but they were still under my skin. After I stopped using Proactiv all of my zits came back (in the exact same spot!) meaning it only cleared it on the surface, not underneath.

There's a reason you aren't supposed to use coloured towels and pillow cases. Proactiv bleaches your skin which, yes, dries out and kills the acne on the surface but doesnt take care of anything under the skin. In the long run, it isn't super healthy to be bleaching out your skin. I gave up on Proactiv when I kept getting tiny breakouts and my eye area became very, very dry. I was very careful to not wash near my eyes, and had to apply the Green Tea Moisturizer more than 3 times a day :S - Proactiv is NOT for sensitive skin like mine. But it definitely seems to works for some people. I have some friends who swear by it (but again it only works on the surface which is not great for the long term health of your skin).
