Pros:

Cleared skin up, affordable,

Cons:

Slightly drying

I have tried a lot of skin products and nothing has worked as well as Proactive. Compared to other brands, it is very affordable. I also really like their make up and concealer sticks - again very affordable.

Pros:

The cleanser removes dead skin cells. This keeps my face from looking patchy -- with dead skin -- evident in many older people. Also, the cleanser with the toner and lotion do help get rid of pimples almost overnight or 3 days at most.

Cons:

If all three products are used constaly -- more than twice a day (for some people once everyday), your skin will become noticalby red and sentive to the sun's rays -- bet on it. Also, red scares/dots last long.

If your skin is senitve, use all 3 products once in a while.....I started using it 7 years ago...but I had to learn how to use it...when I statred using it, i used to use it 2 or 3 times a day -- big mistake. My skin became very dry and red when in the sun. Then i stated using it in the morings and nights...still a bit of the same -- dry skin and redness but not as bad as using it 2 or 3 times a day. Now, I just stick to the cleanser in the morings and sometimes at night. its prob best to use at night but I always forget or becaome too lazy. My advice is to use the cleanser in the moring and/or night. Then use the toner twice a week at night to help get a deep cleansing and to help remove dead skin cells that make you look old. Also, apply a very thin layer of the lotion on the days that you use the toner (best at night) -- in problem areas (for me its the forhead and nose T-area) or all vover the face. Its good to have all 3 of the products, but I think that the cleanser is enf

Pros:

It was great in clearing up my skin at first.

Cons:

It cut off the pimples so they didn't appear on the surface anymore, but they were still under my skin. After I stopped using Proactiv all of my zits came back (in the exact same spot!) meaning it only cleared it on the surface, not underneath.

There's a reason you aren't supposed to use coloured towels and pillow cases. Proactiv bleaches your skin which, yes, dries out and kills the acne on the surface but doesnt take care of anything under the skin. In the long run, it isn't super healthy to be bleaching out your skin. I gave up on Proactiv when I kept getting tiny breakouts and my eye area became very, very dry. I was very careful to not wash near my eyes, and had to apply the Green Tea Moisturizer more than 3 times a day :S - Proactiv is NOT for sensitive skin like mine. But it definitely seems to works for some people. I have some friends who swear by it (but again it only works on the surface which is not great for the long term health of your skin).

Pros:

Made skin feel good at first. Easy to use. Not painful.

Cons:

Stinks. Makes skin look oily. Mask made pimples worse. Still have acne, used exactly as directed. Expensive depending on where you get it. Got stuck in "looks worse before it gets better phase." Had to get perscriptions to fix what ProActiv made wors

ProActiv is okay if you have little or no acne and need a little control, but if you're trying to get rid of noticeable amounts of acne it'll do nothing for you. Your time and money would be better invested in something that works faster AND in the long run instead of just feeling better for a short period right away.

Pros:

Reduces inflamation
pimples appear smaller
fairly gentle on the face

Cons:

skin is very red after using and red marks take a while to start fading
dries out my chin a bit, but vitamin e oil fixes that
it was a lot of trouble to actually get it, they kept messing up on the order, it took a month and a half to get it

i just started using this about five days ago, and i have begun to see quite a few improvements. my skin texture is more even and it is easier to apply make up. the thing i dont like is that i still have redmarks but i know that those will go away eventually. Proactiv actually barely dried out my skin, only a bit around my chin and vitamin e oil was the best solution for this (i just put a little on before i go to bed) and it has never clogged my pores. bottom line, im pretty happy with this product so far and cant wait to see the final results!

Pros:

the cleanser and toner worked for me, really helped clear up my scars

Cons:

i didnt like the moisturizer nor the spot treatment, that just made it worse

it worked in clearing up the scars and new zits but i was able to find the underling cause to my acne. i have a hormonal imbalance, too much testosterone (which causes acne not just on the face but on the body too), not enough estrogen and progesterone. along with the proactiv i have been on a bio-identical hormone treatment. those too combined have cleared my face. i think with any acne treatment you need to find the underlying cause. hormones, stress, adrenal function.

Pros:

Product works great!

Cons:

None

Customer service is wonderful! I had an incorrect shipment sent to me and they forgot to switch a toner for a repairing lotion. When I called they said they would ship me the missing product free of charge. They were kind and easy to work with.

Pros:

It kept new zits from forming.

Cons:

Overpriced. It didn't take all of my pimples away. They stayed there for a month and its still there. Whenever you stop using it for a day, you break out even more. I only used it on certain parts where i broke out, and it stretched out those pores.

Don't buy it. It is overpriced and is horrible. The clay mask has SLS in it. There are too many chemicals. I've had pimples around my nose for a month, and all proactiv did was keep them down but it never went away. For the areas on my face that I put it on, my pores are now visible. I used it for about 8 months. The first starter kit lasted me 4 months, my face was pretty clear but I had a pimple or do. I stopped using it for a couple weeks and I bought the bigger bottles. It was a waste and didn't work for some reason. Its one of those things where you cant use longterm.

Pros:

I'm black so it evened out my skin tone and i went out a few times without make up.

Cons:

Just got more and even bigger breakouts. When i stopped using it for at least three days i had no breakouts. I am now using PanOxyl 10 n even though my skin is peeling all the spots on my forehead have disappeared in less than two weeks of using PanO

Obviously doesn't work for everybody. If u get breakouts from Proactive u might have a negative reaction to Salicyclic acid.
