Pros:

clears out most of acne, easy to use

Cons:

dries out some areas, starts and stops working after time, if use is discontinued break out occue ALL over the face even in places where acne was not present before.

It works, I'll give it that. It cleared up most of my acne but only after a few months of constant use. But then, just as acne was about to completely disappear, it stops working and acne grows worse. I've heard when this happens, you're supposed to stop using it for a while and start up again after a week or so. But, for me, that was not the case. I stopped using it and this only made it worse. I broke out all over my face. I mean everywhere! Before Proactiv, I only had acne around my forehead. I now have horrible acne all over my face. I would not recommend because its affectiveness will eventually fade and your acne will be in far worse condition than before.

Pros:

-Feels great on skin
-Makes skin soft
-clearing most of my acne, great products

Cons:

-Burns, itchy feeling after putting on sometime
-sometimes more breakouts occur if over/under use

I have been using this product for about a month. I had moderate to sever acne and now it is mild to moderate. REALLY BIG DIFFERENCE!! a big part of my sucess is the spot treatment from neutrogena tho, called on the spot. Proactiv is working great for me and I will post another review WHEN it clears ALL of my acne

Pros:

-worked within a week or two

Cons:

-it worked but not for long
-inconsistent
-expensive as hell
-doesnt help much with super oily skin(like mine)

When I bought this product, it worked for only about 3-4 weeks. It cleared the acne(not the blemishes so much). But after that it stopped working for me and my acne eventually came back even thought I continued using it for another two months.

Pros:

if dry, red skin that flakes off is your thing

seriously speaking, this medication is intended for people with little-to-no/infrequent acne. It's not the miracle cream that Jessica Simpson and pals would like you to believe. The commercials this product runs are a complete sham and absolute joke. They had to zoom in 342x just to locate a pimple on Jessica Simpson's face, and the only reason she claims it works for her, or people like her, is because they didn't have bad acne to begin with. It's very disheartening to use this product day in and day out and not see any noticeable difference WHATSOEVER in my face (other than irritation, of course). Go to a dermatologist so they can recommend stronger medication if you have moderate/severe acne because it is vanishingly unlikely that it will clear up your skin if you do. Also a word of advice to people who are searching to clear their acne: be wary of companies that "guarantee" their products will be the cure to all your acne woes, they're the ones that are likel

Pros:

Website and pamphlets packed with helpful information.

Cons:

My skin became more oily and I broke out all over my face instead of just my forehead/chin (which are the only areas I had a problem). Because I purchased online, I received unwanted shipments and had to send several emails to get my acct closed.

The product didn't work. I am left with worse acne than I had to begin with.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Dried up my skin and caused me to break out heavily. Got so bad that after about a month and half I had to see my doctor for prescription medication (that I've been on for nearly a year).

Do not buy this product! It is harsh on your skin and can cause terrible breakouts. A year of using prescription medication religiously still has not completely nullified the negative effects that Proactiv had on my skin. If you're looking to throw away money for horrible skin problems, Proactiv is your best bet.

Pros:

nice packaging, worked for a maximun of a week and a half to maybe two weeks

Cons:

after two weeks of my skin clearing up, the product stopped working and i broke out, worse than before. before i used it i had bumps(not white or black heads) and after i had big ugly and painful white heads on my face and it was also very dry.

dont buy it. it may work for a while but if you havent used it before, its not worth the risk. it might ngive you clear skin but on the other hand bigger, harder more inflamed pimples along with cracked, dry and red face. not attractive.

Pros:

used consistently, it clears up skin very well and prevents future breakouts

Cons:

should be paired with a daily moisturizer to keep skin hydrated

I've had great results with Proactiv. It took several weeks to see a difference, but I use it very consistently, and my skin has been clear for about 8 mos. I've tried everything for the past 10 years or so...over the counter products, lots of expensive prescriptions from the derm, anything & everything. Some would work for a few months, but this is the only thing that has kept the acne away. I have moderate acne, sometimes cystic, which is soooo embarrasing. I've been reading a lot of the reviews, and see comments on the cost, drying of the skin, and the fact that you have to keep using it to keep skin clear. To me, a good product is worth the cost. Also, you should expect it dry your skin a little to keep skin clear...thats why you have acne, because of too much oil production! Just pair it with a good moisturizer. Lastly, of course you have to keep using it! If thats how to keep skin clear, then i"ll keep doing it. Everyone is different, but for me, its been worth every penny.

Pros:

Makes skin feel very soft if you have green tea mouisturizer, Clears up acne a little

Cons:

Cleared up ALL of my acne when I received the 60 day free trial but when I bout the kit it didn't work anymore. All of my acne came back!...Skin will be dry without green tea mouisturizer, Isn't consistent, takes a long time to do this treatment

This is OK! Seems like the free trial did better than I actual kit! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you have the time & the money to constantly buy this every couple of months. Not worth the money and isn't worth the media hype in my opinion
