Pros:

keeps skin looking good for a while

Cons:

if you stop using it,it will make your skin worse

see its ALL about marketing.they put something in the product to make your skin addicted something like cigarettes do,so once you stop using it,your skin gets bad so then you have to buy more to keep up clear skin.I would say stick to drug store products that are like 5 bucks only.

Pros:

none. period.

Cons:

DRIES out skin. makes acne WORSE. smells BAD.

i have trouble believing that this product is actually a solution for some people...not to mention that if it really does work for them, why not me? by using proactiv solution i have succeeded in drying out my skin, creating more blemishes and creating more scars. i will never recommend this product.

Pros:

Cleans skin really well and the toner and repairing lotion leave your skin feeling fantastic

Cons:

This product does not work consistently, you still have breakouts.

Ok, i think im a bit of a pro in regards to skin products. ive spent a ridiculous amount of money on high end skin products like Clinique and Dior, neither worked, so now im trying Proactiv. i also have lots of prescriptions that im using all at the same time and i take zinc tablets. I just recently finshed high school and now i no longer have the stress and pressure of my skin having to look good every single day, my skin has cleared up dramatically, bad skin can be directly linked to stress. i am proof of this. if you have bad skin, go to a dermatologist. if you have acne scars: VITAMIN E cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...thats what hospitals give you after surgery to heal facial scars and finally, the skin cycle is 28 days, meaning until you have used a product for 28 days, you will not notice much of an improvement as the new product draws out all the impuririties. i am a guy and my dads a dermatologist...i know what im talking about. TRUST ME

Pros:

I thought it was working when I first used it.

Cons:

I thought it would be a lot better. A bit pricy, and I thought this would be the 'magical product' I've been waitng for.

Since I don't have that bad of an acne case, I thought that this product would clear up my acne in no time. I thought I'll finally be acne free, but that wasnt the case. It is a bit expensive, and it helped a little bit, but its worth $50. I used it for about 3-4 months, and my acne was about the same from before I started using it. Then again, thats just me. Maybe it will work for you.

Pros:

None.

Cons:

Ive had moderate acne for the last 3 or 4 years, and have used countless numbers of OTC and prescription medications. I figured I would "treat" myself to clear skin and purchase Proactiv. It did nothing.

Save yourself the money. Proactiv did not make my skin any better. I'm switching to Dan Kern's Regimen, and am very hopeful.

Pros:

it works well on people who are not allergic to benzoyl peroxide.
clears acne at first

Cons:

after discontinuing, makes acne worse

its a good product but you have to make sure you're not allergic. its quite expensive but its worth it.

Pros:

Reduces breakouts. Got rid of the whiteheads on my forehead that I was prone to getting.

Cons:

-Expensive.
-Skin will get worse before it gets better. (Need to keep at it.)
-Doesn't eliminate breakouts (but does reduce frequency and extent).

Watched the commercials, expected a miracle... silly me. But the pimples are now at least under control. I found the cleanser too mild, so I alternate with the Deep Cleansing Wash for my face. The toner doesn't do much for me. Repairing lotion is good at prevention, but if a pimple starts, it's not great at speeding up the process. No problems using any of the products. The drying effects of the products are fine with my skin. Fairly good results. P.S. One niece had bad acne, used it with amazing results. Another niece used it, it worked well for her, but she says it lost its effectiveness after a couple of years, and she doesn't use it anymore.

Pros:

Well, shipping is quick.

Cons:

Off size bottles, and ohh, the leather face.

I am 24 and for the most part the majority of my skin is not too bad. I do however get large, red, welt-like ZITS on either sides of my chin as well as the occational off site breakouts. I, "like many others" was suducced by this miracle in a bottle. I have naturaly dry skin and proactiv seems to tear it to shreds. I have only been using it for a few weeks but the dry, flakey, peeling of my skin is realy bringin' me down. I am going to stick with it becuse the welts are smaller and less red, altho much more painfull. I am hoping my face will feel like skin agian and not like a saddle forever. I am also concerned about the arival of some scary looking wrinkles that seem to be taking up residency under my eyes. I chose this course of action beacuse most doctors I have seen will not perscribe me anything without trying the "natural acne cure" BIRTH CONTROL. Whats that about?? Don't do it man! See a dematologist if you can...

Pros:

Worked like a charm.

Cons:

Expensive.

Proactive is definetly a good product for anyone who wants their face to look better than it does. After just two weeks your face just felt and looked healthier. I love lamp.
