been using for a little over month, consistenly following the directions. i now have red, itchy, peeling, irritated, burned skin. i've been noticing my hair starting to bleach aswell, particularly around my eyebrows. must be something to do with the benzophyl peroxide. the sad thing about this product is the acne always re-appears. often worse than usual. clear skin one day, mass breakout the next.

Pros:

Clears my face up right away, easy and quick, dependable

Cons:

Alittle dryness, ordering is alittle outdated when getting other products

It's the best thing I've ever used. I've had very bad acne since I was young. So bad I had to get injections on my face. I've been using Proactiv for 5 years now and it's been great. I've left it for other products and always had to come back because nothing was ever strong enough like Proactiv to clear up my face and keep it clear.

Pros:

i like that.....hmmmmm

Cons:

My skin is very flakey but oily now. It takes a very long time to do. I had small zits and they went away but now I have painful big ones and it did NOTHING for my blackheads! It is crazy expensive too. Toner has a strange smell

Don't buy it. I am almost scared to stop using it because I have spent so much money on it and I am hoping that it will work but I don't think it will.

Pros:

Larger blemishes were cleared within a few weeks. General face area is clear and smooth.

Cons:

High-maintenance to use three different products daily. Acne comes back if you skip only one or two days. Somewhat costly. The repairing lotion makes my skin more oily than it is already.

Use it every day or it won't work properly. If you have oily skin, the lotion may make it worse, so either skip it or use a different lotion.

Pros:

All I can say is that this product is great, I just don't think anybody knows how to use it properly.

Cons:

Bleaches dyed clothing, towels, etc. Too expensive.

I've been using this for 7 years. Everybody that reviews this badly has only been using it for a few weeks or months. That won't cut it. It's just like going on a diet...you have to stay consistent, on track, and have patience in order to see results. Also, when using the scrub, you HAVE to be very gentle, especially for sensitive skin. When I switched to scrubbing gently, it made a world of difference. When I first started using it, I used it 3 times a day, then once my face cleared up I resorted to 2 times a day. The only way I can see this as not working is if you have an allergy or are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. If that's the case, it's your fault not the product's. I use a set about once every 2 to 3 months which equals about $15 to $22 dollars a month. That just seems like a lot of money to spend on this sort of thing. Because it is so expensive, I'm trying other 'sensitive skin' cleansers. So far, all that claim to be sensitive leave my skin very

Pros:

Change starts quickly...

Cons:

Unfortunately, it's bad change! Yes this is the same Barely Any Acne as on 1/8/07... I have 2 big bumps, & also a painful pimple trying to surface on my nose... I never had them this big or painful. I've stopped using Proactiv and going back to OTC

I have always used an OTC gentle, no-alcohol cleanser, but I only used a moisturizer with SPF15 if I was putting make up on. I will continue to use my OTC cleanser, but will purchase BP and an everyday moisturizer, too. Once again, if you just get a minor whitehead or cyclical pimples, leave Proactiv ALONE. Although I didn't mind the price, I realize I can get 5-6 OTC products for the 3 Proactiv sends.

Pros:

Smells good... but that's the only good thing about Proactiv Solutions!

Cons:

EVERYTHING! Causes MORE acne and does not clear up any exsisting pimples or blemishes.

So every night for about 2 months I would watch the same Proactiv commercials about how well it works and how it's a miracle. All the celeb's use it and they just talk to highly of it. Every night I would want to call in to buy it and try it but I never had acne bad enough to have to do anything about it. A few months later, I started to get a little bit of acne and so I got Proactiv. I used it once a day for the first two weeks as the bottles instructed and for this two weeks, my acne didn't clear up one bit. My skin is fairly oily to begin with and it was still a little oily after washing with Proactiv. Then I started using it two times a day and my skin was less oily but I began to get more blemishes. I know that at first, a product may cause more pimples because it's pulling the oils out from under the skin but I've done my routine with Proactiv for over a month and everday I was see more pimples. It made my skin much worse... and I would NEVER recommend Proactiv!!!

Pros:

Worked wonders on my skin.

Cons:

I have a sensitivity to Aloe Vera so the toner was slightly irritating.

3 Makeup artists I have dealt with have told me to definitely keep doing what I'm doing to my skin because it's a perfect canvas. In the near year I've used it I've counted only 4 noticeable pimples, all occuring within a few days of me skipping my Proactiv routine. Best skin treatment I've ever tried.

Pros:

keeps skin looking good for a while

Cons:

if you stop using it,it will make your skin worse

see its ALL about marketing.they put something in the product to make your skin addicted something like cigarettes do,so once you stop using it,your skin gets bad so then you have to buy more to keep up clear skin.I would say stick to drug store products that are like 5 bucks only.

Pros:

none. period.

Cons:

DRIES out skin. makes acne WORSE. smells BAD.

i have trouble believing that this product is actually a solution for some people...not to mention that if it really does work for them, why not me? by using proactiv solution i have succeeded in drying out my skin, creating more blemishes and creating more scars. i will never recommend this product.
