Pros:

none

Cons:

made me break out worse in places where i never broke out before.

My skin hasnt been the same since trying proactive for one week. I got huge cystic acne that swelled my cheek so much that it also swelled into my eye. i looked disfigured. Since discontinuing it several months ago i get acne constantly around the jaw and cheek, places where i was not prone to break out before. It ruined my skin...

Pros:

Really does the job

Cons:

Seems like your skin gets addicted to it! And possibly causes headaches?!?!

To KB: I also began to have headaches around the time I began to use Proactiv. That was about five years ago and I'm still living with these terrible headaches every single day. For some reason something clicked in my mind that it might be a product that I'm using. I will stop Proactiv and I'll let you know if my headaches were gone. I would recommend Proactiv if you don't experience any side effects, but be prepared to keep buying this product forever, once you start on it, your skin will go back to the same problems if you stop using it.

Pros:

It makes your acne less noticable.

Cons:

It takes to long and smells weird. It doesn't clear your skin,it just makes it looks like freckles--well mine anyway! I expected more from it with everyone saying it's "the best"--I was disappointed.

It is overrated. The results could be better and faster so I am going back to Neutrogena!

Pros:

makes pimples go away

Cons:

after awhile my skin has a reverse affect to the products, way too expensive to use consistently (I have bills to pay), takes too long for the package to come when i'm in desperate need to use it, the toner runs out too fast.

i used to use this stuff. goddd! it's awful! the repairing lotion has a weird "smell" after it dries. It smells like garbage! yucck. at first when i began using it, it was a miracle BUT then after awhile my skin got sooooo prone to it and then i would break out like crazy! especially if i skipped one night of not using it i would get bad bad zits the next morning (not too good if you ask me) I think the Refining Mask is the worst! they say in the commercials that you can use it as "on the spot" for zits. oh my god. i've been doing that for at least 2 weeks and it seems that it leaves "burn" marks on my face! I'm african american and have very dark skin, so you could see this dark scars on my face because of that damn mask. My mom was horrified when she saw my skin! she told me to stop using it, and i did. Proactic sucks. all the girls in the commercials complain about their already gorgeous skin. i swear i don't even think they USE Proactiv!

Pros:

- makes some zits go away over night
- makes you feel clean
- boosts self confidence

Cons:

- doesnt smell very good
- runs out fast
- takes some time

Proactiv is the best face treatment i have used so far. After one or two weeks you will see a vast improvement of your face. Although it takes some time, and doesnt just clear your acne over night it, it still works. If you don't have acne, dont use it because it will make your face very dry. You have to give it time and be consistant. Make sure to wash every night, or else you might break out bad. I like proactive alot =]

Pros:

everything about it (except maybe the price!) i am shocked about all the negativity! started to work the very 1st night i used it, and every day got better and better! now my skin is so clear and smooth!

Cons:

the salycilic acid "spot stick" is a waste of time! i got it free with my pack as a promotion, and it does nothing and dries out after a few days! useless! glad i didnt pay for it! but everything else is amazing, would be good a bit cheaper though!!

if you have the patience and the discipline to do it at night...it works! i use the cleanser, toner and repairing cream at night, and a wipe in the morning (so the creams last longer and to save time) and it works fantastically for me! at the end of the day, if you REALLY want to have clear skin, you'll have the discipline to use it every night! i have even skipped a few nights while i had forgotten it while staying at friends houses and just used regular face wipes, and it made no difference to my skin AT ALL! maybe i will try using it every other night to save money, but all in all i enjoy the whole experience as i am so girly and love pampering myself!

Pros:

Well it seemed to work the first couple of days cleared up the light acne I had.

Cons:

My face looks worse than it ever has in its life. I wish I never started using it. The only reason I still am and am staying optimistic that I hoping it still might work. You know how they say first the ugly comes out before you see the beauty? I do

It might work on your skin type'I really wish it worked on mine, but be aware that it might make your acne worse. Start with the trial.
October 21, 2008

Pros:

NONE

Cons:

did not work at all for me

I tried it for months EXACTLY by the book and it did not work.
October 20, 2008

Pros:

it appeared to work for about 2 months but just kept about thirty or so pimlpes the same for about four.

Cons:

it costs $$$60! It dries out your face. the toner made it all red. It is not good!!

It sucked
October 19, 2008

Pros:

helps really bad acne, but doesn't do much for small pimples

Cons:

dries out your skin a lot around the mouth (I have never had dry skin before until I used proactive) and is really expensive

if you have severe acne try it but if your acne is not severe than go with something else
