Pros:

- It works !
- Keeps acne under control.

Cons:

- It only works for a few weeks to one month, then it pretty much does nothing.
- Acne control is mild after a few weeks.

- Not worth the money - TOO EXPENSIVE - Keep looking for other products.

Pros:

Easy to use...

Cons:

Drys Skin, Burning sensations (sometimes), Redness doesn't really go away, takes too long to notice a difference if there is any, too expensive. Not for people with sensitive skin.

This product is garbage!! If you have sensitive skin Proactiv will not do anything but make your skin feel or look worse than before. I even tried the refining mask but after the first use my face became incredibly dry. If you're really looking for a product that works you should talk to your doctor. Don't buy any acne treatments you see on tv, you'll just waste your money!!

Pros:

Cons:

Made me break out worse then ever w/ cyst like pimples everywhere .They hurt like hell and I thought it was because I had to go down to once a day use as it was drying my face out but after reading other comments I see I am not alone.

Does not seem to work for me. Acne is worse after using. If nothing else has worked Id say give it a shot but I would exhaust all other options before wasting your time and money.

Pros:

It really clears up spots in the first week, smells nice.

Cons:

Face may be red after using and sting when you apply the nite cream.

I have spent many years using normal so called acne treatments and cleansers, and never had any of them work anything like proactiv. My boyfriend bought it for me as i was always giving out about my skin. I thought the price of the set was very expensive and didnt expect it to work. IT DID WORK!! I was so shocked, my skin cleared up in a week. But I have to admit that with a busy life i found the amount of steps to follow a pain. Plus i want to point out to readers that Proactiv in Ireland contains Salcylic acid and tee tree oil not benzyl peroxide like the US version. I wonder why that is? Anyway i stopped using it as it was to expensive to get shipped over and my skin is sensitive and sometimes would peel.

Pros:

Smells nice and calms skin

Cons:

Didnt do anything, didnt see a diffirence, nothing happend after 3 months

Pros:

I have been on it for about two years now. For the first year, it worked great, but now it is making my acne worst and I feel it is making me scar

Cons:

Too expensive and long it takes too long to apply

I would not recomend this product as a long term solution to acne.

Pros:

Works by clearing your acne without drying it out.

Cons:

Expensive!! I will continue to buy it because of the results I received but it's very expensive especially being a college-student!

I used this when I was a teenager and it was horrible! The green liquid stuff stung sooo badly and irritated my skin so much that I had to get off it. Now I'm of college-age and my acne isn't as bad as what it used to be so I tried this stuff again and it was a complete 180 turnaround! My face is literally clear, it's amazing. I'm afraid of going off it because I never want to deal with acne again. I fear that my acne will return but it hasn't. Proactive has the right balance of ingredients so it doesn't dry out your skin (as long as you properly use their 3-piece system). Something EVERY other treatment did to me. If your acne is bad and you have very sensitive skin, beware! As I experienced, it was a bad product for me at the time. If your acne is less severe as you have naturally aged (body produces less oils) then give it a try just as I did.

I've been using proactive about a month now EXACTLY the way it tells you to use it.I had a lot of faith in this product but it really didn't do anything for me except make my acne worse. Before i got proactive i had a few pimples on my forehead and on my nose. Now i have 8 painful cystic pimples on my forehead and i'm breaking out on places i've never broken out before like on my neck chin and jawline. It did make my skin look better as far as making my pores look smaller and it's beginning to clear up the acne on my back. I've also been using the refining mask it came with. It dries up the pimple a little bit but it mainly made my face smell like a fart. I'm pretty disapointed because after watching the commercial i thought my acne would be gone in a week. I'm gonna keep using it until next month just in case there is some miraculous improvement. hahaha.

Pros:

i used proactiv on and off for about 9 years, and kept going back to it because i found it to be the only thing that could at least keep my skin manageable.

Cons:

over long periods of use, it seemed to make my skin look older and less healthy. it also seemed like my skin became dependent on the proactiv, and would break out like crazy if i even missed using it once. it is also very expensive to buy regularly.

even if it seems like it's helping out for a while, it eventually becomes damaging and loses any beneficial effects. for a while i thought this was the only thing that worked for me, but i became frustrated and wanted to see better results after dealing with acne for 11 years. i'd tried everything short of accutane, and thought i was just doomed to having bad skin. i went into the dermatologist for one last attempt, and she asked if i'd ever tried tazorac. i was really skeptical, since no other prescription had done much for me except cause irritation. i'm now going on 2 months on the tazorac, and although it did cause irritation in the beginning, my skin now looks better than ever! i had really persistent acne that never completely cleared up (especially closed comedones), and this is finally taking care of it. bottom line: proactiv may be helpful if you have mild/temporary acne, but it won't really help moderate to severe acne in the long run.

Pros:

It will clear your face over time(about two a three weeks) is works.
If you have you must ask them for the set for sensitive skin it's a life saver on your face.

Cons:

-It burns
-You can't skip a day or it will show

If you have sensitive skin ask them for the (Proactiv Gentle Formula), the one they show on tv will leave a burning feeling and it will be senstivie to the touch. The Gentle Formula works and feel better than the other set that they show on tv!!!!!!!
