Pros:

My face was much less shiny and oily on the surface.

Cons:

My breakouts got much, much worse, and my face was more irritated.

I tried Proactiv after a myriad of other products and treatments. In the end, my face was much more broken out and inflamed. The cleanser, with its exfoliating grains, is too irritating. The toner doesn't seem to do much, however, it does contain aloe, which can actually be an irritant to those with rather sensitive skin. The mask, which contains sulfur, smells awful, and I've read that sulfur can actually make acne worse. The Daily Oil Control did a good job of controlling oil, but it's made in a silicone base, which can actually plug up one's pores. It did MUCH more harm to my skin than good.

Cons:

Proactiv: overdry, but that works for me.

Pros:

Nothing!

Cons:

Makes acne worse...

Bottom line is this; do not buy this product. I started using it b/c I sometimes have that occasional pimple. I have never had three or more at a time on my face. Now that I have starting using this product my face is covered with them!!! I can't even look in the mirror. In addition to this, it makes your skin feel stretched and gross. I think this product might only be good for those people with excessive oily skin. I recently landed a great job and was hoping that this "miracle" product would get rid of those random minor pimples. Instead, it made eveyrthing worse! Please don't buy it, or if you have it and are doubting it, return it. It was a waste of time and money!

Pros:

help some people, their money-back guarantee is easy to use

Cons:

expensive, doesn't work for everyone

It helped a friend of mine but unfortunately did not help me. In fact, it made the problem much worse. It might be worth trying since some people swear by it and they are good about returning your money if you send it back after two months.

Pros:

Certainly not many, it didn't really help at all.

Cons:

IT dried my skin out and burns without a positive result. It had virtually no effect on my skin at all.

I have severe acne and maybe if you don't u can try this but if tou are like me this product sucks.

Pros:

Gets rid of the zits you have and then keeps new ones from forming.

Cons:

Does at first cause a little skin irritation but it tells all about how to address those specific issues in the brochure they send with the product for those of you who didn't read.

This sh*t works. It says that it works for most people. I guess the most people it worked for are out having a good time without their zits to post on here.

Pros:

Absolutely NONE.

Cons:

Doesn't work, made my skin break out into a rash...

I had a few zits and some increased oiliness during my time of the month and decided I wanted to give ProActiv a try. I tried it for exactly 3 days. The first day I noticed a marked improvement in my blemishes dried out, became less red etc. On the second day I noticed a rash on my neck (where I also used the product). I thought in was unrelated and continued using ProActiv that night as well. However, when I woke up in the morning I had tiny, almost not visable bumps in every single pore of my face. I honestly can't really see them but I can definitely feel them. They are like little hives all over my neck and face. I threw my ProActiv products away and went back to drug store products this morning. I just washed my face about 30 minutes ago with a little cleanser and am already noticing an improvement in the tiny bumps. ProActiv is the worst purchase I've ever made.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Not effective

This is my third time using Proactiv Solution. The first time I used Proactiv was for roughly 2 months. At first, I broke out in areas that I had never had acne in. Which was a downside, but I thought that I should be optimistic and try a little bit longer, but no improvements were made. So I stopped. The second time I was reintroduced to Proactiv, I only used it for a month or so. The third time I used it was this summer because I had a friend who swore by it. So my boyfriend I thought that we should give it a try, again. Now, I have been using it for a little over 3 months and I have acne like never before. My skin was actually clear before I used it for the third time. Now, I have pimple everywhere. I should have learned from my mistakes. Stupid me. I am only to blame. As for my boyfriend, he has seen no improvement what so ever. There are time when he would not use it for 2 weeks or more and there is no difference. Don't use it.

Pros:

Works well.
Originally used the product once/day because my skin is very sensitive. Now hardly use it at all and I've no more outbreaks!!

Cons:

The customer service folks are a bit pushy and (obviously) don't like the fact that I don't use as much of it as they can sell me. I've cut back on my order; but then I'm not using it much any more...much to their chagrin!

This has helped me immensely - my skin was always hideous and I'd little luck even with prescription treatments(metrogel). Using a gentle soap helps along with the proactive. It will be interesting to see how my skin acts over the winter (began using it this summer). My skin is extremely sensitive to heat/cold and changes in temperature/humidity. I'm old and am worried about my skin drying out and appropriate moisturizers to use for this condition. When I use proactive (especially if I use it too frequently) my skin starts to dry out. I just cut back!
