Pros:

Cleared up my acne Whoooo

Cons:

It is a pricy package at $70 a month and I just noticed it has kind of bleached spots on my eyebrows

it works ... but you have to be very careful not to get any product on eyebrows and if you stop using it (I use it once a day) then I will break out a little even if I only skipped one or two days

Pros:

i didnt die from using it

Cons:

i used to have light acne. a pimple or two came around every few weeks. when i started using proactiv my life went down the drain. after the first use i woke up the next mornig with blisters around my lips and my left eye swollen shut. i continued to use it, thinking the results may have been from something i ate the night before or maybe allergies. i continued to use it for a few weeks to see if it worked since it seems to be some kind of "miracle product." wrong. the blisters around my mouth got worse and bigger. some popped and my mouth became scabbed and sore. the lotion bleached my eyebrows (which were black before). i have dark hair and HAD dark eyebrows but now i look like a clown. proactiv has ruined my life and it will yours too. dont try it!!!!!!!!

Pros:

Cleared most of my acne leaving me with an occassional breakout.

Cons:

Very drying...harsh on your skin.

Ive used the product for 5 years and I loved it. I used it once at night everyday. It took a while for it to really start working but when it did I thought I would be using this product forever. Of course Id break out here and there once in a while...but for the most part my skin was great. Although it was great I do not recommend using it all the time. About 2 yrs ago my skin began to peel. It was horrible and lotion didnt seem to help much. Within this past year I developed eczema on my face so I had to stop using the product and within a week my face started breaking out like never before. It is very very harsh on your skin but it did work for me before I developed eczema. Now, I dont know if there is a link but If you do use the it then use it once in a while because you could develop an allergy from consistantly using any product for a long period of time.

Pros:

- It's full of power packed advertisements about its benefits

Cons:

- It strips off natural oil from the face, leaving it bleached.
- It does not work
- Causes more break-outs after second try

I refunded my products. It did nothing to cure my acne. It actually made it worse than before.

Pros:

none.

Cons:

The cleanser made my face worse and sometimes it was too abrasive to use in the morning. I tried to give this product a chance for a little over 6 months and was truly disappointed. The cleanser, toner, and lotion CONTAINS PARABEN.

PROACTIV CONTAINS PARABEN - A cheap unregulated preservative that acts like estrogen and can throw your hormones off balance and some estrogens are known to drive the growth of tumors. Paraben has also been found inside breast tumors and can stimulate breast cancer.

Pros:

It seemed to work a little for the first two weeks of using it

Cons:

Irritates skin and makes it flaky, smells bad, expensive, make acne worst--more acne appear--, not available at store,

Don't waste your money over this product...Its all bullsh*t...The advertisement and testimony make the product seems to be the number 1 acne treatment...However, it only make the acne far worst and bleach your skin....I don't know if this will have any side effect in the long run...but good luck to those who like this product...

Pros:

Works quite well if used properly and consistently. Face has a nice feeling after applied.

Cons:

Will initially break you out and is very drying to the skin. That is why i recommend using a moisturizer after the third step. I read that bezoyl peroxide can cause skin cancer. Not sure if that is true but would defiantly be a con.

The thing with proactiv is that it is very drying and has many different side effects if used incorectly. When you use it you should be VERY, VERY gentle (and I mean gentle). You should use only one finger to apply the first and last step. For the second part you can use just a cotton pad, but don't forget to BE GENTLE! Do not use in shower, after shaving or after sweating. Most importantly, BE GENTLE! cannot stress enough!!! check out "[link removed]" for all the information you will need to get clear with proactiv.

Pros:

works a little

Cons:

after a little while, it doesn't work as well. Leaves your skin dry. The toner can burn your skin. Takes FOREVER to do the whole process.

Proactiv helps, but not that much. It's not worth the price. It definitely does not completely clear your skin. Plus, it really dries out your skin. Using the lotion or a moisturizer makes your skin look oily. I'm surprised by those stories we hear about people who "used proactiv and now are acne free." Yeah right.

Pros:

* tingly feeling made you feel as though something was happening

Cons:

No noticeable reducation of pimples; very drying; bleached all of my towels and pillowcases; difficult to order from Canada (charged me for my order but I did not receive it for months... kept having to call and ask them to try and send it again)

This product's hype did not come through in reality for me. I followed the routine religiously, morning and before bed using the entire line of suggested products. I noticed no reducation of pimples, but my skin did dry out considerably (and not in a good way). Most disturbingly, the product bleached all of my towels (used to dry face with after cleansing) and my pillowcases (from sleeping with the moisturizer on skin). I've never had a skincare product do this before. If it is doing that to your linens, what do you think it is doing for your skin?? Bleaching your skin can't be a good thing. All-in-all, I had to try this product because of the incessant and convincing advertising, but now that I've tried it I know that it might work for Jessica Simpson, but noit did not qork at all for me.
