Pros:

I had a couple of pimples only and mostly tried it to clear up annoying blackheads on my nose. The pimples disappeared within just a week of use.

Cons:

The blackheads didn't change one bit, and the system was incredibly drying. My entire face started to peel and flake like I was a leper or something.

Way too harsh and expensive. It might work if you have very oily skin so it doesn't overly dry it out, but for me it only made things worse. I'll take a couple of pimples over my entire face feeling tight, burning, and flaking off.

Pros:

see less pimples and severity and duration of blemishes not as bad

Cons:

pricey, does not help blackheads or clogged pores.

not the miracle product they want you to think it is but does help with moderate acne worth giving it a shot.

Pros:

They offered refund like they said and good customer service

Cons:

I have mild acne and this product only made me break out sooo much more than before. The cleanser is a joke, I would wash my face and would see the towel dirty after i wiped my face. Dries out skin to the point where it's unbearable + the breakouts!

It didn't work for me, only made things worse. I feel that the marketing propaganda is what really motivates you to buy this but in the end is not what they claim it to be.

Pros:

Sometimes clears skin of acne

Cons:

Harsh and drying

The first time that I used proactiv it was amayzing, I used it for about 4 months and I decided to stop using it cause my skin was really clear and I thought that it would stay that way (yeah right). So after a couple of months my skin was having really bad breakouts and it just look like hawaii. So I decided to go back on proactiv, the first couple days of using it my skin was really red and adjusting to the skin care again. For a while my skin was clear with the occasinal zit or 2. But thin like after 5 months of using it my skin looked horriable, it had pimples everywhere even on my chin where i never ever had them. So I decieded that proactiv just wasn't working for me anymore and started using Mario Badescu's various acne products and its so gentle my face is never red after washing it anymore. Once I was out I tried my leftover proactiv cleanser and my face felt like it was on fire and I will never use proactiv ever again.

Pros:

It smells like the old line of Keri lotions. It redused the redness and the Face the facts book provided me on tips of putting on makeup to avoid future breakouts. the scrub is wonderful!

Cons:

if you have pimples that you have popped (i know its gross), the second step kind of stings, and the mask does not completely get rid of your new pimples over night. At first you might break out just because you are clearing out your poors.

This program works well if you use it regularly, as it describes on the containers, and the amounts it tells you to take. If you have problems, most likely you got it wrong or you skin type isnt right for it. consult a professional before use! People with oily skin must use this product because the benzoyle peroxide does not dry out your skin, it makes it tolerable! I love this product and will continue using it. I recommend it to all with acne problems!

Pros:

The gritty first step in the three step process gave me smooth skin on my cheeks but...

Cons:

It turned out I did not actually have acne. Instead, I discovered I had Papulopustular rosacea, which resembles acne vulgaris. Irritating the rosacea on my forehead with the abrasive cream made things worse.

Be careful that it's acne you are suffering from, not a form of rosacea. Papulopustular rosacea forms pimples on the cheeks, forehead, and chin. Check out [link removed] for a diagram of affected areas and descriptions of the various types. I picked up proactive thinking that I had an acne problem, when I really should have been avoiding skin irritants like the step one cream. Also, the acid in the treatment has been linked to rosacea flare ups (unfortunately for me!). Just a heads up so you don't get discouraged with proactive. It was recomended to me by a friend, for whom it works great.

Pros:

At first I saw my skin looking better. It did not look as dry as before, I was happy. My skin felt soft.

Cons:

After using it for 2 1/2 weeks, my skin started getting red patches, and it was very dry and irritated, adn flaky. I got more pimples than I had before, adn really big ones. my skin feels rough and looks aged. HORRIBLE. looks like i have wrinkles.

( OH THE YEA THE MASK SMELLS LIKE ROTTEN EGG WHEN YOU CLEAN IT WITH THE TONER). Im still using the product since i havent had the 30 days completed yet. Im hoping my skin will get better. the only way it looks good is if i wear makeup, which was the reason why i started using this product, so i can stop covering my face with makeup. after reading some review im gonna just use it once a day to see if those ugly red small dots in my skin go away. i honestly saw better results using NEUTROGENA oil free acne wash combined wiht clean and clear persa gel. if this doesnt work im going back to using my old stuff. i might try the murad thing at [link removed]. ggggrrrr.... >(

Pros:

Really clears up acne quick

Cons:

Can leave my face real oily or shiny looking sometimes

Proactiv solution works wonders for me, all I have to do now is get rid of some spots,lol. But I think the people who say it doesn't work aren't using it right, or often enough, or has severely bad acne.The price is a little much, but hey, as long as it works.

Pros:

cleared up my skin.

Cons:

expensive, discolors all fabrics, rough on skin: makes skin red and irritated

Worked for me. I only use it once a day.
