Pros:

Reduced redness. Reduced blotchiness of skin tone. Makes skin soft and smooth. The sulpher mask really helps to clear up skin when first using Proactiv. It works incredibly well.

Cons:

The repairing lotion can make your skin a bit dry, however it is nothing that a daily moisturizer with SPF in it can't fix. Which everyone should be using daily anyway to protect from the harmful UV rays.

For those people who have minor acne that does not require you to go to the dermatologist, this product is not for you. This product is for SEVERE acne sufferers who have been to dermatologists and have used such prescribed lotions, pills, etc,.. like accutane, and still suffer from acne. Proper use of this product shows incredible results. A few comments have mentioned only using it at night or when they had a breakout. That isn't proper use of the product. It is a 2x daily cleaning regime. Always test products on your skin before use as many people have skin allergies...this is recommended by products of any kind. I've been using this product for years. I now use it 1x a day and use a Neutrogena cleanser to remove make-up in the evening, and my skin just glows. The 3-step products last me for about 6 months, so the $60 for the 3 components is worth it. You would spend about $15 on a regular cleanser, $15 on a toner, $20 acne cream, and $20 for a moisturizer anyway, so

Pros:

-worked for 2 weeks.

Cons:

was on the verge of clearing my skin, then it failed. Small bottles.
Sucks balls.

This product is overrated, all the before and afters are of people who have one pimple. I had a of dream of having clear beatiful skin and it was crushed. I am now on accutane to get rid of my acne once and for all. I now hate people who say use proactive for ur acne cause there f**king stupid and don't know the truth. Lowered my self esteam even more. I hate going outside.

Pros:

Saw results immediately.

Cons:

Stopped working after a couple of months. It is also expensive after a while. It was almost like the longer I continued using it, the more my face got mad at the product and lashed back with even more acne. It was horrible.

Don't use it, it is over rated. Go to your dermatologist and explore some other options with them that are proven to make a difference for your skin/acne type.

Pros:

It worked amazingly at first to get rid of the little bumps on my forehead and my chin.

Cons:

As soon as I missed one face wash I began to break out. If I skipped a day because I left the stuff at home, my face would completely break out. The longer I used Proactive, the more dry and irritated my skin became, so I used less...my skin looks

The longer I used Proactive, the more dry and irritated my skin became, so I used less...my skin looks way worse than when I first started Proactiv. I have new pimples everyday. My skin is so used to all the drying agents in the Proactiv; so much that when I stopped using it my face is completely freaking out. I wish I would have never started using it!

Pros:

seems to help prevent small comodones and blackheada

Cons:

doesn't prevent large pustules and cystic acne

I never had a lot of small pimples but more of 4-5 giant ones at a time. I started proactiv and it seemed to help for about a month then i would get 3-4 giant zits instead of 3-4. Not worth the price.

Pros:

It took half of my acne away and most of my bigger pimples.

Cons:

My face got used to it and the other half of my acne wouldn't go away. I still had the black heads and white heads. It over dried my skin. The 3 step process is so annoying.

Its best for people with light to moderate acne.

Pros:

Works great and fast. Makes skin super soft. Great packaging.

Cons:

Very expensive, Small bottles,

I cant beleive how so many people hate proactiv. For my skin, it has worked wonders. A week ago, my forehead had at least 20 red pimples, it has been only a week and i have only 5, smaller and lighter ones. My skin is now much softer and has more glow. Proactiv has truly taken my acne on a fight, and it's really winning it.
