Pros:

Smells good, seems to work, leaves face feeling clean and refreshed

Cons:

Has not significantly reduced the number of pimples on my face.

Proactive seems to work and I really enjoy how my face feels after I use the cleanser, toner, and lotion. However, I have only been using it for about 3 weeks so I am still is the beginning phase. I have heard that it will dry out your skin. If that happens, I was told to reduce usage to 1x a day instead of 2. All and all though, I am somewhat happy with the purchase.

Pros:

Made my skin feel nice and lighter than before. It smells pretty good, and it works well with make-up.

Cons:

Dried out my face horribly. Especially on my nose there was very, very bad peeling and I had to stop using it all together on my nose. Didn't help much.

I got it and after reading reviews on their website, thought maybe it would help quicker than my other products i've tried. It DID help with limiting my breakouts during my period, which are usually pretty bad, and it did make my skin feel clean. But as already stated, it dried me out terribly. Also, you have to be pretty dedicated to your face to go through with all these steps. (I personally didn't mind it, though.) I believe this product works for some and not for other, and sadly, I am part of the latter group.

Pros:

Easy to use

Cons:

-Dries out your skin
-Very expensive

After using this for one month my skin is worse than ever. I have more acne and my face looks burnt. I followed all instructions and did the routine daily. I also have lots of white heads and acne in places I never had it before. My skin is more sensitive then ever.

Pros:

Smells Nice

Cons:

Made me have itchy red bumps!!...i think the cleanser is way too harsh because of those beads that are in it.. DO A TEST RUN FIRST on a patch of skin like your forehead or back of your neck... after a week then see if it irritates you...

make sure you do a test run

Pros:

The product works. I noticed a difference within a week.

Cons:

Very harsh. It left my face unnaturally dry.

The product works but I am wary about using something so harsh on my face on a regular basis. After using proactive my face was always unaturally dry even with moisturizer. I discontinued use after a month. Instead of proactive, I now use: (a) Helene Facial Scrub (b)Aveeno Cleanser (c) Toner and (d) Aveeno Moisturizer. This seems to be working so far. Best wishes.

Pros:

Stopped my big painful pimples, whiteheads and deep acne.

Cons:

Didn't clear up my blackheads or overall redness. It's more expensive than discount facial cleaner

I am 32 years old and have had moderate acne since I was 13. It was never so bad that I didn't want to leave the house, but I hated it. I tried a dermatologist twice and was given meds but they never worked. I tried Proactiv 6 months ago. I never get whiteheads any more. I never get the painful deep acne around my jawline anymore. I still get blackheads, but frankly who cares. The only thing I wish was that it would have lessed the redness of my face more. I still need to wear makeup most days. Sure, proactiv doesn't work for everyone but I am so glad that I tried it. As for the credit card charges...Proactiv is a membership. You will be charged every month. You agree to that before you pay the first time. If you want to end your membership you have to contact the company and your account will be cancelled. That's just the way memeberships work.

Pros:

All 3 steps really worked!

Cons:

The toner give a burning sensation and causes a little redness; the redness does go away.

I started using Proactiv in college a few years ago. I suffered from cystic pimples, and if anyone has ever had these type of pimples, they know it is very painful and un-attractive. For those of you who may not know what a cystic pimple is; it is simply a very large, red, painful pimple that starts out under the skin & may or may not surface and can last FOREVER, or so it seems. I was going through a very stressful time in my life and I was desperate for something that worked. I tried Proactiv, and it is the only topical medicaiton that works for me aside from taking an antibiotic like tetracycline or minocycline which can cause bowel problems. I have REALLY oily skin, so my skin does not become extremely dry. The mask is great too, it helps get rid of a new pimple, overnight which is my favorite part. The fragrance is very pleasant, not overpowering like some OTC products I have used. Would definetely recommend it!

Pros:

Works great. Clears.

Cons:

Dries skin.

Bottom Line is people need to follow directions. This product does work. However if you are not allergic to BP it should work. Simply get some moisturizing cream of some sort and apply it to the facial areas which Proativ was used on. If you just let a powerful product settle on your face of course it's going to become a mess. READ DIRECTIONS AND USE COMMON SENSE WITH SUCH SUBSTANCES PEOPLE!

Pros:

only useful item is the sulfur mask, stay away from the rest of the lineup! "P. Diddy" and Vanessa Williams now have golden toilet bowls thanks to your insecurities.Proactive should be boycotted!!!

Cons:

expensive, unpleasant odor that actually burns everything in its path, cheap pyramid scheme operation, reptile skin , face is worse than ever. They send you a new "kit" every 2 weeks when it should be no less than a month and do charge STOP PAYMENT

DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE , I've had acne since I hit puberty, the most severe being in my early teens then a gradual clearing to a moderate in my late teens/early 20's. Honestly, I've tried just about everything with no success but always wanted to try Proactive since the first infomercial back in 95(I was to young to order and my parents said it was a scam). Then my acne became less of an issue until I saw the infomercial when I was 22.I thought if that can work for people with severe acne, then this will work wonders for my mild to moderate acne. After 3 days my skin was immaculate, then all hell broke loose. Within a week I developed intense acne of all classifications and the driest skin I never could have imagined. I stopped use after 2 months but to this day I still am left with this strange type of blackhead that covers my entire face(before I only had on my nose and chin)and cystic acne(which I never really had). Three years later my face is a mess thanks to that scam...

Pros:

It works at first, but once you are using it for a while, it doesn't really do anything more

Cons:

-its really hard on your skin

When I stopped using it, my skin turned out worse than before. I am now left with scarring and more acne that has been very hard to get under control. I would NOT recomend it.
