Pros:

This Proactiv Solution works wonderfully. It clears up old acne, and prevents new acne from occurring...So long as you follow the regimen and Treat your face gently and patiently. It makes your skin really soft and also clears scars.

Cons:

I am allergic to BP my face is itchy and a little bit red. Almost like a small sunburn. But not bad.

Even though I am allergic to BP, this product still worked well! But as I said before you have to be gentle with your face. My irritation to BP causes my face to get really itchy and a slight bit of redness occurs. But from reading on the forums, I've learned that when first using BP this is normal. As long as you don't scratch your face this stuff really does work! The acne is one less problem you have to stress about.I recomend that people try at least the trial version, they sell it on T.V. now for $19.99! Be aware that this wont work for alll skin types because everyone has different types of skin. But it is worth a try! :P

Pros:

I thought the price was alright and that it had a good reputation.

Cons:

I have mild acne and thought I would give proactiv a try. I've been using it for 3 months and it got worse than I've ever had it (the trial period that "it will get worse before it gets better" and it never did. It stayed worse.

This product has worked wonders on my brothers, but I guess it just wasn't for me.

Pros:

It worked really well. I often got compliments on my skin.

Cons:

It has a LOT of unnecessary chemicals in it. And you HAVE to use it twice a day, every single day, forever.

I had some really bad face acne for years (since I was a teenager), and this was the only thing that worked for me. Problem is that if you get lazy and skip a day, your acne will come back. When I was very conscientious, I had beautiful clear skin that often received compliments. I also really enjoyed the smell of the product, and my boyfriend thought so too. But now that I'm trying to use all natural products (meaning NO propylene glycol or sodium laurel anything), Proactiv misses the mark. It's chock full of unnecessary filler chemicals that I don't want seeping into my skin and bloodstream. Plus, Proactiv doesn't fix the problem, it just covers it up until you stop using it. So yes, this product works extremely well (at least it did for my skin). I just have a lot of objections for it.

Pros:

The product arrived really fast!

Cons:

It smells funny, the lotion sucks, they say you will notice a difference within the first week..hmm im not noticing anything so far but its only been a few days..then again my skin normally reacts right away and its not reacting which is weird.

Kinda cheap for a trial size and a 30 money back guarantee..that unfortunately because of no changes ive seen since i started usig it, ill have to use the guarantee.im pretty sure that I should have stuck with my St. Ives Olive cleanser and my Palmers Organic Olive lotion..and a good dab of Queen Helene Masque Mint Julep for random pop ups on the skin...its the best regiment for me!

Pros:

...I can now laugh when the commercials come on and my friends say they want it.

Cons:

Pain pain pain, redness, flaking, breakouts, and embarrassment.

Do NOT be influenced by the media or celebrities. They are either lying or medical miracles. If you buy this product after reading these reviews, you are surely impaired because it DOESN'T WORK!!! Fight the conspiracy.

Pros:

You can return it and get your money back.

Cons:

I broke out even more within the first week. My face was very dry. I had to reapply moisturizer 3-4 times/day. It made my face feel very tight and I couldn't even smile. Right now, I'm trying duac. It's been a week and so far it's working for me.

Not everyone's skin is the same. Some products might work, some might not. You just have to be patient and find something that will work for you.

Pros:

Not terrible. Works a little.

Cons:

Still had break outs. And with my extremely oily t-zone, the everyday scrub caused my skin to form a hard crust. I felt as if my skin couldn't breathe, not matter how much I washed it. Fortunately someone gave me a spa gift certificate, and an aesth

I don't mean to sound like an ad, but what worked for me is Clinique. Not much more than Proactiv and for me it worked. (And I've spent hundreds at med spas.) It worked so well, that even when I was lazy about all the steps and washing my face at night, it still worked. And I was so miserable and humiliated by acne, I didn't think anything would ever actually just work. Here are the issues that Clinique helped lazy me with (and they were really really bad): oily oily t-zone, cystic (huge!) acne, and enlarged, scarred pores. And Dan, your face looks fine. Where's the acne?

Pros:

Able to modify kits or order individual products

Cons:

Should be fragrance free since this is an acne product.

No one system works for everyone. My daughter and I fell for the advertisements of perfect skin that all acne companies make. Proactiv's claim is no different than what you hear from everyone else. Just because it doesn't work for one person does not mean it won't for someone else. My daughter has had good (not perfect) improvement with the three step program over two months but she is experiencing some leathery patches on her chin where acne has healed. We are going to cut out the repairing lotion to see if that helps with the dryness and sun sensitivity which differin and oral antibiotics caused (she uses the oil free moisture with SPF 15 but is outside everyday because of sports). The renewing cleanser contains a benzoyl peroxide formula which Proactiv states penetrates deep into the pores to attack bacteria helping to clear existing blemishes and prevent new ones from forming. Sounds just like the repairing lotion to me so both may be too much for some people.
