Pros:

limited benefits initially

Cons:

Ceased to work after a few months
Makes skin EXTREMELY sensitive to sunburns
Skin started to badly react to benzoyl peroxide

Increasing my skin's sensitivity to sunburns has made this a dealbreaker. (Getting sunburns after about only 15 minutes of exposure on a moderatly cloudy day.) Proper sun exposure is necessary for vitamin D production, but sunburns are very damaging to the skin. A product which increases sunburn sensitivity by such an insense amount is NONSENSE to me.

Pros:

- Leaves skin feeling soft
- Gets rid of a little acne

Cons:

- Expensive
- Doesn't work swell as TV advert says it does
- Doesn't get rid of most of my acne
- Lotions give me a really oily feeling after 30 minuets

I wouldn't advise getting this product if you still haven't tried other cheaper products. I stopped using it a week ago and started using different products and my face looks so much healthier already. It didn't work for me but that doesn't mean it won't work for you. MY ROUTINE I have very oily/blemish prone skin. My new routine is - St Ives Apricot Scrub - Garnier Blackhead clearing scrub - Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Cleansing & Toning Lotion - Garnier Spot fighting 24hr moisturiser

Pros:

Did slightly clear up acne.

Cons:

Dried and irritated skin. (My skin isn't even that sensitive!)

Proactive wasnt as great as proclaimed and I was greatly disappointed and don't recommend this product to someone who can only buy one product.

Pros:

Made Acne Worse
Dried out my skin

Cons:

I guess that I wasn't as oily anymore

So I decided to give Proactiv a go, I like everyone else have tried just about everything there is, I have even done a round on Accutane!, but unfortunately after about 8 months with what I consider to be the best skin I ever had I started to breakout once again. Although it was not as bad it was still there. I am 26 years old and as a female it is very hard trying to get on with your daily life when your face has pimples. So back to my proactiv experience, I used the system for a total of 8 weeks and can tell you this, my skin is so much WORSE now then it was when I started. I thought at some stages it was getting better but was always disappointed. The reason I had to stop was because I noticed that on my left cheek a place I sometimes would get get a few pimple I got a bunch of them Im talking 6-8 huge ones that would not go down!! It got so bad my skin has actually bruised, I went to the doctors and was told that is was severely inflamed and that I need antibiotics. I was just heart broken, im exhausted and just don't know what to do next''.

Pros:

Not even going to try it again.
Refining mask works VERY well.

Cons:

Very, very, very bad reviews even off of this site.

I ordered Proactiv around 3 weeks ago, and it just came in around 3 days ago. I haven't even bothered to remove anything but the Proactiv Refining mask, which I think is the only thing that works. After reading everyone's experiences and the before/after in the long run, I am against most of this product. I don't recommend this product. Now that I think about it, I think when I was using Proactiv when I was younger (hardly remember) it gave me the bad acne I have today after using it. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. 1star = product 5stars = refining mask

Cons:

Causes premature skin aging

I saw results after 2 months. Worked like a charm for a year and a half. Later it stopped working. And it left me lots' of problems (wrinkles, dry but oily skin, etc)

Pros:

Mask kinda works.

Cons:

Everything

I have been using Proactiv since I was 12 years old, faithfully believing that one day it may cure my acne. All lies. I have horrible cysts, black heads, and white heads. The only thing that somewhat works is the spot mask and it only reduces the size of the cysts by a little. I would never recommend Proactiv to any one and I have wasted thousands of dollars over the years on this stupid gimmick.

Pros:

Worked for a few weeks

Cons:

Dries skin out
EXPENSIVE!!
Harsh for any type of skin
Ruined my skin!!!

In the beginning it was just a few little bumps here and there on my forehead and jawline so I decided to try Proativ. At first it was pretty good but after about 2 months my skin had actually gotten worse and worse, and it ended up making my skin have full-on acne breakouts!! I say this is a scam and I do not recommend it, please save your money and just see a doctor, trust me, you won't regret it!

Pros:

I didn't know there was any

Cons:

The steps, the cost, the tim, the smell and the results.

Do not buy this product! I have only used it for about three weeks and I still keep breaking out. Try finding another solution to your acne problem because this one definitely does not work!
