Is it really worth it?

Pros:

Got to keep proactive as a souvenir

Cons:

Skin got much worse
too damn expensive
harsh chemicals

Acne has been part of my life for years. For one thing I've had acne since 3rd grade and all throughout high school. No joke. So of course to any naive person trying proactive was the ideal choice. However once I started to use the product I didn't see much improvement and if anything all it really did for me was give me MORE acne than before. I know that some acne products make you break out because your skin is getting used to it but that only shows how many harsh chemicals are involved within the product and those can lead to premature aging and other horrible things depending on the person. Honestly proactive was an Okay product but for $40 a month?, you can do better. I am now proud to say that I am completely acne free all because of a great product called NOXZEMA. For those of you who are having acne problems and still haven't found the right product I suggest you give this a try'.it's cheap and at least doesn't have ANY harsh products what so ever. Also never give up! Had i not looked up any acne products than I would have never found this Noxzema. by the way i'm in college now, my 3rd year and i STILL don't break out. that's how good Noxzema is :)

Dishonestly marketed junk.

Pros:

Did improve my acne moderately

Cons:

Regularly caused intense irritation
Effectiveness declines
Manipulative marketing draws in insecure younger kids >:/

I used Proactiv all through Jr High. I never experienced the cycle of clearing/intense breakout that a lot of Proactiv users did. What I did see was a moderate improvement to my acne, and sporadic bouts of dryness and irritation that got worse and worse each time. The problem is, if you stop using Proactiv to try and let your face heal from irritation, the acne comes back practically overnight--so it's either deal with horrific breakouts regularly, or use Proactiv on already-damaged skin. Both are painful, unsightly, and end up decimating a young teen's self-esteem. Plus, it seemed to get less and less effective as time went on, until I was basically back where I started, and the Proactiv did nothing BUT cause irritation. Now that I'm older, I've had to talk all of my younger sisters out of using Proactiv--its sensationalist commercials are so seductive to insecure tweens despite its high cost, and the subsequent letdown is even more heartbreaking as a result. I wouldn't be nearly so upset about this product if its marketing weren't so emotionally manipulative and misleading.

Pros:

•cleared up
•smells good
•take me 2 to 3 mins
•easy to store

Cons:

•dries out the sides of my nose
•when stopping usage after a day it immediately breaks me out

I recommend it to people with moderate acne also you may want to put a little bit of lotion (not to much or it will make your face greasy and shiny then vlog up your pores) very good experience with it;)

Pros:

-easy to order
-clears skin but when i stopped using it for a few days i got a few pimples.
-the fragrance doesnt really bother me

Cons:

- dry`s out my skin
- makes my skin itchy sometimes
-have to moisturize much more than usual.

over all it works, but you have to learn to use it with moderation ....the benzoyl peroxide and the salicilic acid that it contains dries the skin .... so i recommend to use it 3-4 times a week instead of every day.

Pros:

Smelled good

Cons:

Made breakouts worse, very time consuming (3-4 steps at a time gets really time consuming) expensive

Highly glamorized product that doesn't deliver results. May be good for someone with very clear skin and an occasional zit. Otherwise it was very ineffective for me

Cons:

Ruined my complexion, I have blotches of acne under my cheeks, from ear to ear, down my chin.

Ruined my complexion completely, now I will have to see a dermatologist to fix the damage it caused.

Pros:

I am on the fence as far as liking it and rating but Proactiv does, indeed fact work. i was breaking out and having pimples after pimples then the haorrible blemishes and started using proactiv and it cleared my face up tremendously. First few days will cause more breakup because your face is getting use to the product but it does work!!!

Cons:

HOWEVER, once you stop using proactiv. Completely. I was using it for just about up to almost 4-5 months, (after your face has cleared up) ACNE COMES BACK WITH A VENGENCE. All the breakouts and pimples get worst. Like the product is crack for your face and once youre off it, it goes haywire. I have been off Proactiv for over an year now (now using Cetaphil and PanOxyl) and have mild to moderate. :-( thought about getting back on Proactiv but i dont know. AND ITS too costly!!! They charge you and

Great temporary fix. For me it cleared and heal, but once i canceled my subscription and stop using it, my acne came back with a vengence. Overall to costly and I hated the payment plans/process/Charges!!!!

Cons:

I ordered the 19.95 offer to try the product. The company charged the $19.95 which I expected, then charged me 39.95 a week later. When I called to protest they said they had sent a 90 day supply and would not refund my money.

This is a scam. The ads say your charge is one amount, then they triple the price.

Pros:

It has no pros

Cons:

drying, makes skin red

After countless informercials and rave reviews about how this was like the holy grail for acne. I decided to try it. Well let me tell you this stuff is like the worst stuff on earth. The first time I used it,I thought oh man I really hope this works. But long behold two hours later, it turned my skin as red as the devil's a**. I mean perhaps that's a pro because my skin was the same color as my acne. To me it was terrible but I said to myself it's only doing this because my skin is not used to it. So I kept at it for about two months. I went to school looking like a rotten tomatoe and it wasn't really fun to take my school picture for the year book. As the days turned to weeks I noticed that the acne wasn't leaving and niether was the redness. So I ditched this stuff. I mean paying to look that bad no bueno. I decided to try a more natural route and it worked better.
