Pros:

works really well, makes my skin smooth and glowing

Cons:

NONE

I have had acne for over 15 years and I have used proactiv for the last couple of years. I do not have any unwanted side effects from using it long term. When I first started using the products, my skin was really dried out. I was only using the 3 step system and not a moisturizer. When I started using a moisturizer (applying it last) in addition to the 3 step process, my skin has been almost flawless. Rarely do I have a pimple. NO product is going to make you stop having pimples forever. However, Proactiv can greatly improve the quality of your skin. If you have sensitive skin, they have the 3 step system for sensitive skin also.

Pros:

This product works to get rid of bad acne. It never completely cleared my skin 100% though. Works fast.

Cons:

Dries skin!!! Somewhat hard to find if you don't want to participate in the automatic payments/shipments.

I have used this product for years mainly because when I try to stop using it, my face breaks out worse than ever and produces massive amounts of oil! I'm not positive if this is due to the product itself or not- but I feel my face has become 'addicted' to it. I wouldn't use it if I didn't feel I 'had' to... if you don't already use this product, I recommend you don't start.

okay, im 14 and i bought proactiv about 2 or 3 months ago. i neeeded to buy it because my face was like disguisting. it was a tad pricey though. i started using it and right away like in 2 days my acne was clearing up fast. i was continuing to use it and in about 2 weeks after that my face was red and flaky. i have to say it wasnt as bad as before. i would recomend to use da product 1 a day instead of twice. i stopped using it for a while and the acne came back. i started to use it once a day and it cleared up again. it makes my skin have a better complexion. if u cant afford proactiv i would recomend u wash ur face with regular soap and warm water and dab hydrogen poroxide on ur skin because it gets rid of bacteria that causes acne. proactiv depends on ur skin type if it works or not but i liked it :]

Pros:

it works really well gets rid of all acne if you used it right

Cons:

dries out your skin, expensive

its expensive but worth it. if you use it every night its great but dont over do it and use it in the morning too. in the morning just wash your face and use a really good lotion and your face wont dry out and will be fine:) plus proactiv works pretty fast too my face was pretty bad and it cleared up in about 3 weeks but you have to use it every single night.. hey its worth it .. about 5-7 minutes every night and no acne? whats better than that.

Pros:

none, (except i got it for christmas so i didn't have to pay for it.)

Cons:

Pain, Redness, Dryness, and Worse acne.

It made my face BRIGHT RED, and it burned for over an hour. I ended up crying the whole time. I had an ice pack on my face and I layed in the dark. Also, after all the pain, my face only dried out and I got more acne that i started with. P.s. i only used a small amount. (aka. reccoment dosage.)

Pros:

worked quickly on my oily skin- left it clean, smooth, and clear.

Cons:

After nearly 2 years I realized that the wash was bad for my skin because it made my blackheads worse-and my skin around my nose was rough. One day i woke up and had huge, red scars on my face-it left my skin WORSE in the long run.

Do not use this product. It gives quick results but does years of damage to your skin in the long run. I'm in college now and have to deal with acne and scarring which has lowered my self-esteem. Proactive is not worth it.

Pros:

It works for a while then I get a big zit here and there. Now I also have a bunch of small pimples along my hair line. Which has never been a problem before.

Cons:

The price. It stopped working as well.

I have actually used it for years because it was the ONLY thing that seemed to work. It isn't working so well for me anymore and I have been VERY consistant in my routine. I also can't afford it anymore!!! Darn gas prices!
