Pros:

I stopped using birthcontrol (hormones went crazy) and I began to have terrible breakouts that left dark scars. Everyday a new red pimples appeared all of over my face. Started using PROACTIVE and my skin began to clear up within days.

Cons:

Burning sensation while applying toner/lotion. Skin is clearing but extremely dry.

The product works great, I can over look the burning sensation since the pimples are gone. Maybe this will pass once my skin adjust or finds a balance while using this product.

Pros:

-worked at times
-nice smell, not too strong
-nice packaging, dispenses easily

Cons:

-only certain products had certain effects
-inconsistent with results
-tooexpensive for insufficient results

It is ok if you use certain products, but for others I would rather just wash my face with water than waste the time. I would recommend the clarifying cream with salycylic acid(helped prevent acne for me by 60%)

Pros:

Great product worked very well for me

Cons:

Great result in juz 5 days. But dont mess up with the steps and use twice a day.

If this product is not curing ur acne then u should consult a doctor. All ordinary kinds of acne is cleared with this product. But not a solution for hormonal imbalance....thanks

Pros:

It doesn't dry my skin out like most acne solutions. No allergic reaction (which was a huge surprise) and actually controls oil.

Cons:

It wasn't the reason my hormonal cystic acne stopped ruining my life. My ob/gyn put me on lo-orval 28 and prior to thta, my dermatologist put me on spironolacte.

Proactive is a nice skin care but not an acne solution. It will not stop your horrible acne such as cysts or hormonal acne but, once you consult a dermatologist and an ob/gyn and they work together to figure out which hormones cause your acne, you can rely on proactive as a very nice skin care supplement. Once again, IT IS NOT an acne medication (as it claims to be) but a nice skin care. As a person, who struggled with hormonal cysts and terrible acne for over 10 years and finally got it under control at the age of 24, I recommend going on a pill and trying spironolacte and then, once your acne is under control trying Proactive.

Pros:

Works to some degree. Doesn't overly dry the skin and the moisturizers and day/night creams all left the skin feeling soft.

Cons:

It's not very consistent and didn't seem to prevent outbreaks as well as advertised. Also, the toner and especially the mask are way too harsh. After using the mask my eyes would tear up for hours after washing it off.

My skin was better while using it than before but in my case it's not worth the money and not nearly effective enough.

Pros:

Refining mask makes skin softer sometimes, and the actual treatment gets rid of most acne on some days and therell be some long periods of time when the acne comes back even while using the product as directed.

Cons:

not consistent at all, does not get rid of all acne nor does it prevent all of it even though it helped reduce the acne, but for the price i'm paying for something thats supposed to get rid of my acne its not worth it

reduces acne but the price is not worth it, for the same price or less theres probably a better product out there that doesnt dry the skin like this one, its only gonna take some time to find the right product (just google best acne products and youll get stuff that are most likely better than proactiv considering proactiv isnt anywhere on the lists)

Pros:

*Smells great
*Has not burned my skin
*Has cleared pretty well all my pimple after one day of use

Cons:

*I do think it is a little pricey and plan on getting it at one of the department store stalls instead of shipping.
*It does discolor you towels etc so FOLLOW the INSTRUCTIONS and pat your face dry with paper towel before using your good towels.

I had tiny pimples all over my face which I had been treating with another benzoyl peroxide based product of 5% (rather than the 2.5% that proactive uses). That never did anything to my skin and I used it religiously. I did the 3 day patch test as stated needs to be done and then I used the product for the first time yesterday. I applied once in the morning and once at night and this morning my skin is clear. I will review again in about a month to see what the difference is. So far so good.

Pros:

simple to use, and I like the feeling of the grainy scrub.

Cons:

Way too expensive, and it seems like a lot of the ingredients are not specific to fighting acne. The toner and the lotion thing also make my face feel greasy.

This didn't really make a change in my acne after I switched from another system. I had heard really good things about the "refining mask," which did not work the same way for me. It also smells horrible. In the end, the whole system is basically just more crap to put on your face, and definitely not worth the price.

Pros:

It cleared my skin for the first couple of days , and it didnt dry out my skin

Cons:

It has to be used daily and if you miss one application it will take a long time for it to start working again, and the best part of the system is the mask and once it runs out you have to buy it at a seperate price.

If you can stay constant with the product it will work but if u are busy and cant allways take time to apply the product twice a day it will be a wate of your money.
