Pros:

-Works amazingly well- completely cleared my skin, which NOTHING else ever has.

-If you do have a breakout, using their other products can help clear it up super quick. I had never had much luck with other stuff.

-You can choose to have it split into 3 payments, which makes it easier to afford since the big bottles cost about $20 each.

-No more acne! No painful, ugly, gross breakouts.

Cons:

-You absolutely have to wear SPF over the treated areas, every single time you go outside during the day. I had to get into the habit, and now if I forget to wear it I find I will breakout the next day.

-Pretty pricey, although for me it is worth it to have my self-confidence.

-The regimen takes a little bit of time, and you have to do it twice a day to see the best results.

-You will become dependent on always having it with you when you travel or even go overnight somewhe

You HAVE to follow the "Doctor's advice" - use it as labeled, and absolutely follow with a sunscreen-containing moisturizer. If I don't use sunscreen it is bad news the next few days. When you're using this product, as the included pamphlets will tell you if you bother to flip through them, your skin will be more susceptible to sun's radiation. You will get bumps, redness, etc if you don't use sunscreen. After reading a lot of these reviews I think that is where a lot of people go wrong. I also only use it on the parts of my face where I breakout, for me it's my chin and around my mouth and nose. If I get it on my cheeks it burns, so I just don't put it on there. (Even though they say use it on your whole face.) I absolutely swear by Proactiv, and they don't pay me to say so. :) I pay them in fact, happily. I have more confidence and feel good about the way I look as a direct result of this product. Definitely worth the money to at least try it, just make sure to read the included literature and really devote yourself. The payoff is so worth it!

Pros:

- Cleared up my acne.

Cons:

- Results are seen after the 2nd week of use.
- Tedious to do the 3 steps 2 times a day.

My acne is not bad. I would just get a few pimples during my menstrual period, and randomly some very little pimples scattered in my face, but the mark will stay after the pimple's gone. I've been to almost every dermatologist around my country, been into very expensive laser treatments, and no results. However, when I tried Proactive, it did clear up my skin. I've only used it for a couple of weeks, but I haven't had any new pimples since then. I see the marks being cleared, too. I feel that, if I continue using it, in a couple of weeks I might be able to walk around comfortably without any makeup and no ugly marks of the gone pimples.

Pros:

Clears up existing blemishes
Seems to be keeping my skin clear
Kiosk Machine in mall keeps me away from bad customer service & automatic billing

Cons:

Blemishes will come back & acne worsen when discontinue
Products become less effective after a month because bottle top poorly made & will not close properly. So 90 day supply really only good for 1 1/2 months.

I recommend it for people with mild acne which is what I have. Seems to be too irritating & not worth the time and money for people with severe acne/really sensitive skin.

Pros:

- good product, does help clear up acne.

Cons:

- HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

WOWOWOW. okay. i ordered some things from them, the extra strength proactiv system and a green tea moisturizer. We waited about two weeks for it to come, and it didn't come. I called them, and they said it wasn't supposed to come out till the end of may, so they apologized and said they would put a rush on it and it should be here within a week. so we waited a week, and it hadn't come, so we called again, and they apologized again and said they would put a rush on it, and it should be here within a week. HMM. it didn't come within a week. so we called again, and they said the items were on back order, and it should be here within a week. FINALLY, it's been two weeks, and i open up the box and all that's in there is a tiny travel kit. WOW. $50 for a travel kit. THANK YOU PROACTIV. Not buying anything from you again. completely and absolutely disgusted with this joke of a customer service.

Pros:

Clears skin at first
Toner was good

Cons:

Harsh
Drying
Expensive
Temporary relief of acne

Not worth it at all! I used this product for about a year and at first it worked wonders for clearing my acne (granted it dryed my skin out so terribly) but eventually it completely stopped working and my acne came back worse then ever! and when the acne came back it was impossible to clear. I've looked online and aparantly a lot of people have the same problem. Don't waste your money

And the product is drying to the skin and it gave me wrinkles over time but i didn't care as long as it got rid of my acne!! i lost hope.............................. ='[

Pros:

-Cleared some acne
- nice smell to it
- Kit came with helpful tips

Cons:

- itchy skin
- really dried my skin
- stinged

I used this product for over a year. It gave me great results for the first few weeks, but it didn't clear my acne. I remember when I used it for the first day, it gave me the worst sting to my face . I spent way too much for it and I have to say, I will never go back.

Pros:

None.

Cons:

Expensive - Equate product at WalMart works just the same.

ProActiv is terrible. Not only does the company sign you up for a membership - they will continue to bill you even if you never receive product. I have had billing issues with them since May of 2010. I never received product from them and yet they still continued to charge me for shipments. I cancelled my card that they were billing, as well as "membership," and they still continued to send me bills and threatened to send me to collections. Now, eight months later their awful accounting practices are fixed. It took going through a separate agency to get them to fix their lack luster ability to stop charging and billing for a product I never received. Bottom Line - Walmart sells an Equate product for $11 that works great.
