Pros:

Made my skin softer
Keeps acne from worsening

Cons:

Did not clear acne
Expensive

Proactiv only keeps my acne from getting worse; it has not cleared my skin. I had to spend about $100 for a 4-5 month supply and have been using it for quite a few months now. I only continued to use this because I have not yet found a product that clears my acne.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

-Big rashes on cheeks and eyelids]
-Acne got worser
-Skin peeling like crazy
-Face stings
-Face itchy
-Makes things worser
-Makes acne more noticeable
-Face is so red in areas like big splats of paint just right there :P

At first I had only acne on my nose, just a little. When I first started using it, it felt a little weird. The face wash smells and is rough. Then after a little over a week. My whole fast started getting swollen with big red patches of rashes all over my cheeks and chin and gnaw. My face is really itchy and I try not to itch it, good thing I don't itch it. My dad is so paranoid, he tells me that my face is like rotting away which makes me really sad. I wish I still had those very few acne so I don't need to deal with any of this pain. I tried many things, but I am not ready to give up.

Pros:

I think this product works very well. The first day I used it my face felt very soft and my face seemed to brighten up. I would reccomend this product to people.

Cons:

Their are alot of step if you buy more than just the basic 3 step system.

This product is great I think you just have to use it the way they show you and stick to it. I know I have just started to use this product but I have seen good results so far.

Pros:

Cleared up ALL my acne including nodular and cystic bumps - it has worked for years!

Cons:

Very very drying - to compensate my skin pumped out more oil so I ended up with dry and oily skin at the same time - horrible!
Expensive - one box costs about $70 with the tax etc. and lasts two months.

Proactiv worked wonders on my acne. About 14 years ago, a dermatologist prescribed topical antibiotics for my acne. The acne was mainly concentrated on my chin, my right cheek and my forehead. For some reason the left side of my face remained relatively clear. The antibiotics cleared my face up completely! Then I stopped the antibiotics and went on the Pill (for birth-control purposes) and my face stayed clear for 10 more years! Because of extreme stress at work, my face broke out crazily a few years ago. I was still on the Pill at this time. I had these awful hard bumps on my cheek and chin, and under my chin. These bumps were extremely hard and would not budge. Nodular acne! I looked as stressed as I felt. So I tried Proactiv. Within 6 months, my skin was as clear as crystal. The only thing is that it was left dry and oily at the same time and my skin looked blotchy - BUT without the acne. I find that exfoliating helps with the blotchiness. A few weeks ago, in order to wean myself off chemicals (Proactiv contains A LOT) and to see if I could even out my skin tone and reverse sun damage, I started OCM. It made my skin look fantastic except for my chin which broke out in huge cystic bumps. I let it go for 2 weeks hoping that my skin was just purging but nope, the bumps kept on coming! So I went back to using Proactiv on my chin only and in only two days, it's starting to clear. My chin still looks awful but the Proactiv is doing its work; the cysts are shrinking and they no longer itch or hurt.

Pros:

the moisturizer works well

Cons:

My face actually got worse using this product. they say they have a money back guarantee but they don't refund the shipping which is $10. You also get stuck with a monthly plan. I canceled but they already sent the next 3month supply. I had to pay for the shipping to me and back on that to get my refund. So, it ended up costing me $20 for nothing.

Proactiv Doesn't work.

Pros:

Smelled good

Cons:

Doesn't work
Expensive
Waste of Time and Money
Makes acne worse

I got proactiv after trying products such as Clearasil, and it honestly didn't do anything except give me worse acne. Now, my skin is amazing with help of a dermatologist. Everyone's skin is different, and theres no product that can work for everyone. If going to a doctor isn't an option, I've found that Neutragena is the best over the counter skin care line. Also, ladies, remember to get makeup off before scrubbing things into your pores!

Pros:

Cleared Acne
Soft Skin

Cons:

Initial Side Effects
Somewhat pricy

I had used Proactiv all throughout high school to keep my skin clear, and it worked really well. I eventually switched to cheaper drugstore cleansers in college because my skin was staying clear. When I recently switched birth control brands, my face broke out worse than it ever had before, and no drugstore acne products were helping. I decided to try Proactiv again. I did go through the initial side effects, but as I had been through them before, I wasn't worried. For the first 2 weeks, my face was dry, red and itchy around my t-zone, and my skin had a slightly bleached appearance. The breakouts also got worse during these two weeks, (as the product warns may happen). I was patient though, and after a month, my face had significantly cleared. 3 months later, my face is completely clear 98% of the time. I do use a moisturizer at least once a day, especially around my eyes, which is an area of my face that tends to dry out first with Proactiv. You have to be patient. Also, the bottles do appear small, but because I use the amount directed, I can make one bottle last 2-3 months. Due to the fact that there are several different skin types, nothing is going to work for absolutely everyone. However, I would say it's worth a try if you haven't found the right product yet!

Pros:

- Works quickly
- Doesn't smell
- Difference is noticable

Cons:

- There are no cons!

Proactive is an effective acne solution. I put it on at 6 p.m. and by the time I woke up (8 a.m.), almost all of my acne on my forehead had vanished! This product really works and I recommend it to others! And unlike other acne medicine it has a nice smell to it! Thanks, Proactiv.

Pros:

Worked at first,

Cons:

Too expensive,
Doesn't work after using it for a while

If you happen to have light acne then this is probably the right item but if you have severe or moderate acne you probably want to get something more strong becuase this isn't that strong. And not the mention this only works the first few month and it just stops working after that. Good luck :)
