Pros:

Did clear up acne (mostly).

Cons:

Dried up my skin and I couldn't find a moisturizer, still had quite a few breakouts although not as severe, the sulfur mask was very drying, expensive (I needed the five piece kit), the Clear Skin Club can be an unnecessary nuisance.

If your skin is glowing the info ads go for it, but if it's anything less than that, then it it's worth checking out the Acne.org regime and some OTC products or the products here. I switched here. The great part was that my skin was used to BP from Proactiv so I was able to advance fairly quickly through using the max dose of BP on the Acne.org regimen and saw great results. If you need more than the three piece kit then it could you run as much as 75 bucks!

Pros:

It dries up your skin.

Cons:

Doesn't stop acne!

First of all, I had an allergic reaction to the original proactive. My face tightened and swelled. I changed to the gentle formula which seemed to work better. I had given up on all cleansers at this point. After following all three steps daily it has not got rid of my acne. For about a week at a time my skin will be clear, but then pimples pop up here and there still. I shouldn't have large pimples still. For the last 3 weeks I have tried everything to clear my face and nothing is working. I even used their face mask. Nope didn't work. The toner also makes my skin oily so I don't always use the lotion with it, b/c then it is extra oily. I have now started the 30 day free trial of vitamins. I am going to see it that helps. I would hate to spend even more money though. It's obvious I am already wasting my money every three months on the cleanser/toner/lotion. I think I was just sick of searching for the right product, that I just stuck it out with proactive. Five years too long!!!!!!!!!!

Pros:

-Clears Skin
-Evened out my skin tone
-My very oily face...looks a little less oily

Cons:

-A LITTLE drying
-Makes my cheeks red :(
-Expensive

My skin is basically acne prone, oily, but sensitive. Okay so all throughout high school I always had bad skin. Not MAJOR acne. But def lots of not cute pimples. Every product... Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, Aveeno, Cetaphil.. nothing worked for me.I finaly decided to give in and order Proactiv. Well it def did clear up my skin for a like a year. Maybe a random pimple here and there.. but nothing too bad. I loved it.It did make my face a little red though and I hate that. My skin is like a medium color and my cheeks would just look stupid and red. So I was like okay my skin is clear for a year maybe I don't need Proactiv anymore... WRONG. I tried a simple cleanser (Purpose)... and I broke out like no other. SO BAD. So I yeah I went back to Proactiv (used the extra strength formula to get this dam pimples away) Once this all clears up.. I'll go back to the regular proactiv and maybe try it with a diff toner to see if I'm still red? It's a love/hate thing.. but it keeps my skin clear!!

Pros:

I can feel it working, and when I break out every day I can feel the breakouts shrinking and drying up.

Cons:

I've been using it for about 3-4 weeks now and recently I just broke out like crazy, so idk.

The first 2 weeks I started using it I didn't have any breakouts and it kept my skin feeling clean and acne-free, but out of no where I broke out so badly in about 4 different places on my face, and if I've been doing a 5-step treatment every morning and every night, I dont understand why that would happen, and I feel like I'm the only one who's had that problem. I'm just hoping if I continue to use it it will hopeully stop the chances of me breaking out again.

Pros:

The pro's about this product is very very few, i think the only think i liked was the smell and the feel of my skin right after drying.

Cons:

The product did not get the acne prone areas on my skin which was my forehead and my chin, I would say out of the 2 months I used it it cleared up 3-4 pimples.
Would always make my skin burn approx. 10 mins after usage

Proactiv probably does work it just depends on how well your skin takes it, everyone is different. It would make my blemish areas very red after I used it and the cleanser ran out after a month (maybe i used too much). If it didnt work for you and you are still struggling with pimples, i would say just was every morning and night with warm water and a gentle bar soap for a bit. I have been doing that for 3 weeks now and my skin is WAY clearer then when I was on proactiv. Also, because i had bangs that didnt help much either so i just clipped them back for about 3 weeks and it helped alot! Good luck,.

Pros:

It really does work, and you get perfect skin. It takes a while to start clearing up the acne, but after you pass that phase you don't break out anymore at all (not even during that time of the month).

Cons:

You can't stop using it. If you stop, you're skin is worse than it was before you used it. I used it for about three years, then when I stopped, my skin broke out worse than it ever did. My skin became very rough and I ended up going to a dermtlgst

Use it if you're desperate, because it DOES work, but just be prepared to use it for the rest of your life. Otherwise, there are probably less "addictive" measures to take to clear up the acne.
