Pros:

- It's full of power packed advertisements about its benefits

Cons:

- It strips off natural oil from the face, leaving it bleached.
- It does not work
- Causes more break-outs after second try

I refunded my products. It did nothing to cure my acne. It actually made it worse than before.

Pros:

It seemed to work a little for the first two weeks of using it

Cons:

Irritates skin and makes it flaky, smells bad, expensive, make acne worst--more acne appear--, not available at store,

Don't waste your money over this product...Its all bullsh*t...The advertisement and testimony make the product seems to be the number 1 acne treatment...However, it only make the acne far worst and bleach your skin....I don't know if this will have any side effect in the long run...but good luck to those who like this product...

Pros:

* tingly feeling made you feel as though something was happening

Cons:

No noticeable reducation of pimples; very drying; bleached all of my towels and pillowcases; difficult to order from Canada (charged me for my order but I did not receive it for months... kept having to call and ask them to try and send it again)

This product's hype did not come through in reality for me. I followed the routine religiously, morning and before bed using the entire line of suggested products. I noticed no reducation of pimples, but my skin did dry out considerably (and not in a good way). Most disturbingly, the product bleached all of my towels (used to dry face with after cleansing) and my pillowcases (from sleeping with the moisturizer on skin). I've never had a skincare product do this before. If it is doing that to your linens, what do you think it is doing for your skin?? Bleaching your skin can't be a good thing. All-in-all, I had to try this product because of the incessant and convincing advertising, but now that I've tried it I know that it might work for Jessica Simpson, but noit did not qork at all for me.

Pros:

i used proactiv on and off for about 9 years, and kept going back to it because i found it to be the only thing that could at least keep my skin manageable.

Cons:

over long periods of use, it seemed to make my skin look older and less healthy. it also seemed like my skin became dependent on the proactiv, and would break out like crazy if i even missed using it once. it is also very expensive to buy regularly.

even if it seems like it's helping out for a while, it eventually becomes damaging and loses any beneficial effects. for a while i thought this was the only thing that worked for me, but i became frustrated and wanted to see better results after dealing with acne for 11 years. i'd tried everything short of accutane, and thought i was just doomed to having bad skin. i went into the dermatologist for one last attempt, and she asked if i'd ever tried tazorac. i was really skeptical, since no other prescription had done much for me except cause irritation. i'm now going on 2 months on the tazorac, and although it did cause irritation in the beginning, my skin now looks better than ever! i had really persistent acne that never completely cleared up (especially closed comedones), and this is finally taking care of it. bottom line: proactiv may be helpful if you have mild/temporary acne, but it won't really help moderate to severe acne in the long run.

Pros:

none!

Cons:

it dried out my skin and was so harsh it left some scars.

this product is ridiculous. i've heard it works for some people but honestly, its a scam and its waaay expensive. my face was red and irritated and flakey when i used this, and my pimples were just as bad. the reason the lotion still makes your skin irritated instead of calming it is because it's medicated too. everything about this product is way too harsh.
