Pros:

My face doesn't feel very oily throughout the day

Cons:

Does not get rid of my acne at all, dries up skin

Before using this, my face wasn't too bad, I didn't need to use cover up or anything. After about two and a half weeks of using this, my face is completely dried out, flaky, AND broken out! My face looks terrible, and not only is it red and flaky, I've gotten the big, red, painful kind of zits, and I never have gotten those before. And while I used to get acne around the edges of my face, I now am getting zits right in the middle of my forehead and all over my cheeks. This product did the complete opposite of what it was supposed to!

Pros:

Reduced redness in just one night!

Cons:

I have not been using this product very long, so I will have to re-submit a review when I know more about my results

During high school I didn't have many breakouts. When I entered my 20's, the frequency of my breakouts increased a lot. I used ProActiv for a while but it stopped working after 6 months or so, then I tried several over the counter products, but they just didn't seem to work- finally I went to my dermatologist and he recommended Differin*. I used Differin* for 3.5 months, hoping it would work, and although it cleared up the larger cyst acne on my chin- it made my skin very irritated and red... so one day I decided to go to Clinique* (several of my friends use it and like so I thought, why not?) The lady at the counter noticed how irritated and dry my skin was, and gave me a sample of their Redness Reducer and Intense Moister Therapy. The next morning, almost all the redness had been reduced!! There were still some smaller blemishes, but the irritation has disappeared! Now she is working with me on a day by day level to help me find the right 3-step solution... Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros:

Makes skin smooth and refreshing, less red and clears breakouts fast! It smells pretty good, too!

Cons:

Of coures, the price. But honestly if it makes your skin clear then it's worth it! Other than that: NONE!! :)

I just bought this kit yeserday and I already notice results! My skin is smooth and less oily and way less red than a few days ago. My zits are smaller and less inflammed. I just have to say: this product is not for all skin types. Find out what skin type you have, then do a little research on medication that is right for your skin type. Otherwise I would highly recomend this product to anyone that thought all hope was lost! Don't give up!!

Pros:

Easy to use, great toner, soothing cleanser

Cons:

None really, flaky skin is to be expected

After experimenting I have created my own regimen that works for me. I scrub (very lightly) with St. Ive's every evening because I have very thick oil that mixes with my makeup and ew... Then I use the 3-step program. The cleanser is mentholated and feels soothing. The toner takes some getting used to because it burns and will make your skin flake after a couple of days. I switched out the 3rd step (moisturizing part) for bio-oil. I do this every morning and night. I do it before breakfast to let the oil absorb, then I put my makeup on. After initially breaking out my skin is much much much much better. I also had swollen, red, sensitive patches on my face which the bio-oil took care of. I love you bio-oil. St. I'ves is probably horrible, but I've been addicted for years, so... Hope you all find something that works for you!!!!!!!! *mUaH*

Pros:

Easy and quick to use, pretty gentle/non-irritating, did minimize the amount of oil a bit.

Cons:

Doesn't help fade scarring, pimples hang around, they don't go away as quickly as I'd like.

I have tried everything you could possibly think of to help with my acne, drugstore products, tv info-mercial products... I've tried not using anything at all just rinsing with water thinking maybe all the products are the problem. Nothing has worked. This is one I had not tried. The products were a little over-drying for me. I used the 3rd step moisturizer only at night and the dramatically different moisturizing gel for day, which did balance out the dryness. My skin felt clean but not great, like it had medicine residue on it or something. After 4 weeks I've noticed a SLIGHT decrease in the amount of new pimples and oil, but little else. My skin's texture and tone have not seemed to change. I will probably be switching to something else.
