Pros:

maintains cleared acne

Cons:

severe drying around mouth and along jawline
a little pricey

I have tried so many different acne products (Neutrogena, Clearasil, Differin, Duac, Biore, AcneFree, etc.). I am 19 and nothing has worked. I thought I would try Clinique because I am pretty desperate. After a week, my acne has worsened a little, but according to the experts, that is because the medicine is taking different things out of the skin. Step 1 (foaming face wash) smells chemically harsh, but it is light and soft. Step 2 (clarifying lotion) stings a little and sometimes burns, but it is an exfoliator, so I guess that makes sense. It is also a little drying. Step 3 (Clearing moisturizer) is very drying, which bothers me. It is a moisturizer after all. I am still optimistic because it does take time (up to 4 weeks) to see the best results. *crosses fingers*

Pros:

Is the only thing that keeps my skin clear at all times. I only use the cleanser and the moisturizer.

Cons:

With the new formulation from last spring it has bleached my eyebrows red and then on to blonde. I have dark hair and olive skin, so it is pretty obvious. I went to the makeup counter and the recommendation was to put sunscreen on my eyebrows!!

Still trying to use it but am really avoiding my hairline and eyebrowns. Need to find something else that works as well

Pros:

Started working right after the first use. Redness was gone and less shiny :-)

Cons:

I can see why people say it is drying, but if your skin can handle the ProActiv 3 steps, then it can handle Clinique 3 step.

Sooo worth it! I don't feel ashamed of my skin anymore. I still get one pimple here and there, but nowhere near as often as I got them before Clinique. My make up also looks smoother on my face more than ever! I highly recommend this product!!!!

Pros:

* Noticeable Results with Consistent Use

Cons:

* Slight stinging sensation with the clarifying lotion
* Moisturizer made my skin way too dry AND made me break out
* Lots of redness

While I was very happy with the gentle foam cleanser and pretty satisfied with the clarifying lotion, I really really hated the moisturizer that came with the acne kit. I did continue to buy the foam cleanser and clarifying lotion for about a year after my first batch ran out. Until I went to my dermatologist and got a number of prescribed topicals. I also switched to skin ID which matched me with a foam cleanser I like just as well, an acne solution lotion which is great, and a hydrator (moisturizer) that is FANTASTIC. All for a lot less money. While Clinique reduced my acne a little bit, I would recommend other products over it.

Pros:

I use Clinique products (foundation, eyeliner) which I love, but ...

Cons:

this did not work. The specialist completely misdiagnosed my skin, which resulted in severe acne with severe dryness.

I used this consistently until the bottles were gone. They did nothing but exacerbate my acne and dry skin. My skin was very dry, cracked, peeling when I went to the clinique counter for help. she said i had oily skin and recommended this system. it is cheaper to go to the dermatologist.

Pros:

It reduced the redness and size of my acne within three days.

Cons:

It's expensive and can dry your skin out if not careful.

This product is pretty expensive for us normal people, but it does work fairly well. If you don't use moisturizer, it WILL dry your skin out a lot. Also, I put it a little too close to my eyes and woke up the next morning with eyes swollen to the size of my fist. Be careful with this product and it can work.

Pros:

less inflamation and softer skin.

Cons:

soap was too soft, hard to contain, and it didn't control my acne at all.

it would probably work fine for people with less acne.

Pros:

I like the bar of soap, because it makes your face feel very clean. The clarifying lotion has a slight tingle to it for me, and I like that because it lets me know it is working.

Cons:

Be sure to use enough lotion because it can dry your face out. To be honest the dry skin really isn't too bad, I'd rather have a little dry skin over pimples the size of Montezuma on my face any day.

Growing up, I was very lucky because I rarely had to wash my face and never had acne. Now at age 27, it had become a nightmore! I constantly had one or two bigs pimples pop up, and I would squeeze until they bled and I couldn't squeeze them any more. At any rate, they looked horrible and very embarressing! So I got a free trial size of Clinique Acne Solutions at Sephora with another purchase, and it really has been a dream come true. I could tell a difference overnight in using it. Obviously, everyone has different skin and issues, but this worked for me.
