Pros:

Doesn't have a foul smell. Did improve my skin for a month or so, but then just seemed to stop working.

Cons:

With my already oily skin, the cleanser actually seems to make it worse, and I never felt that my skin was actually clean. The treatment gel was a bit of a mess, it was kind of sticky and it felt like it was burning my skin. My face broke out badly.

It didn't seem like a bad choice when I began using it. My face would get small breakouts, but nothing to be ashamed of. I mainly wanted to try this because you were guarenteed clear skin in 4 weeks. To me, that sounded like quite a good deal ..and I figured since I only got 3-4 small zits, I'd get clear skin super fast. Well, it was the opposite. It broke out my skin, however, I kept using it ..just for the hope that it'd work. My skin actually improved for awhile but then it seemed like it didn't work anymore. I'm done with it, it's not worth even $10.

Pros:

NONE

Cons:

Burnt my skin beyond belief! Left my skin red, patchy, and dry. It was extremely painful and it smells horrible.

Hated it!

February 18, 2007

Pros:

Comes in a bucket

Cons:

doesn't work

Made me break out worse during my months usage of it. The only upside was that the redness in my face was less than when I was using duac. However, when I was using duac I wasn't moisturizing or using a gentle cleanser, so there were other variables at work.

Pros:

I noticed a reduction in the large pimples, and the overall quantity of acne on my face

Cons:

Expensive, especially once you buy more than the tester kit. If you aren't diligent about using this twice a day (because maybe you get a little lazy like I did) then it simply won't work and you won't see any results

I've used proactive, i've used neutrogena and now I use Murad. Bottom line I found is Murad works the best for me, but I really have to eat healthy, no fried food, because a skincare product can only do so much, the rest of the acne comes from whats on the inside.

Pros:

*easy to use
*keeps skin moisturized and doesn't dry it out
*doesn't sting or burn
*no benzoyl peroxide

Cons:

*a little on the pricey side
*the purging process isn't a pleasant experience

Murad has worked wonders for me! I used to use a benzoyl peroxide prescription from my doctor, but I developed a sensitivity to it over time. I was so frustrated because every acne kit I found had benzoyl peroxide in it, and the salicylic washes and creams I tried weren't helping at all. I saw the Murad kit in Sephora and was so excited when I saw it didn't have any benzoyl peroxide. For about the first three weeks my skin purged like crazy. The instructions inside the kit say your skin may "purge" breakouts to get rid of all the gunk in your skin for a while, and that it exactly what happened to me. If you want to try Murad, just know you will probably go through a period where your skin breaks out more than normal. It wasn't very fun to constantly be breaking out, but I stuck with it and am so glad I did! Once my skin stopped breaking out, it cleared up quickly. I use the whole kit morning and night. The only little thing I do differently is I wash my face with the cleanser and a spinning cleansing tool to help exfoliate my face. The only other con I could come up with was the price. It was about $60 for the two month kit, but it was well worth it! I definitely recommend this product.

Pros:

It worked for the first few weeks. The supply lasted along time. It didn't make my skin sore.

Cons:

It stopped working, even while I was using it, and all my breakouts came back. I'm a little worried about the atomatic billing.

I think that for some people this system would work. But my acne is so bad, and I've tried so many things, that it's just another product to throw on the pile.

Pros:

leaves your skin FEELING clean.

Cons:

nothing

i feel like such a fool for buying this. ive been using this product for almost 3 weeks and my skin has not improved at all, if anything it has worsened. i honestly was better off with pro activ. i would LOVE to have clear skin, but buying this set me back. i feel awful

Pros:

Felt very clean and confident after use.

Cons:

Gave me terrible cystic acne, tore the first layer of skin away, terrible dryness (it was like I had scales), price is awful.

This product ruined my skin. It took me two and a half years to reverse all of the acne and scarring that this kit caused. The 'purging period' never actually ended when I used the complex.
