Pros:

*- Cleans pores
*- Leaves skin softer
*- Doesn't have a horrible odor.
Manyyyy more for me.

Cons:

a little expensive but worth it.

I started getting acne when I was around 11, I'll be 16 in about a month. I've tried countless products, I really have. Most cleared my skin a little for like 2 weeks, then made it worse. Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, Acne Free, and so on. This coming Wednesday will be my 4th week on Acne Complex and I'm really happy with my so far results. Instead of waking up and praying I didn't get a new zit over night, I wake up to find my face glowing. I had moderately severe acne when I got the product. Now it's light, but as I stated, my four weeks aren't even up yet. I have a lot of faith in Murad, I really do. A few weeks before I ordered, I swear I went through every bad review on this webpage. The ones who said everyone's skin is different, that you SHOULD TRY IT, JUST TO SEE IF IT WORKS FOR YOU, pushed me. It also helped to read the details of what their acne looked like. So here's my details I started wearing makeup at 11, that's what I believe triggered it. I can't exactly remember when I got the "brail" bumps, but I've never used anything that made them go away before Murad. My acne looked like a mixture of Sammi's and Deedra's. Very occasionally I'd get the huge painful bumps like Brian. Right before I started using Murad I broke out around my jawline, like Sammi's. The "Brail" bumps were all over my face, at least a couple hundred of them. The acne on my jawline itched. Usually I popped my pimples then stopped for a while and noticed it got better on its own. I have sensitive skin, most people with acne, especially bad acne do. If you do then I suggest you use it only ONCE a day. I know what my skin's limits are. I used the exfoliating acne gel every other day. After two weeks I started using it every day and my skin's fine since it's used to the products. My favorite products of the 5 are the cleanser and clarifying mask. I leave the mask on for more than 10 minutes though. The lotions a nice finishing touch, I just layer it on my

Pros:

ah....nope

Cons:

red iritated skin, expensive, makes it worse

i had mild acne, and i was hoping it would clear me up all the way...but nooo. This stuff is the devil!(at least to my skin) it made it a very weird combination of shiny and red, bottom line it made my skin about 3 times worse(it said you would experience a breakout in the 2nd week and then it would clear up...thats not the case for me though) So thanks Murad for making my skin horrible befor prom...RAWR

Pros:

smells nice and feels good when applied to skin

Cons:

Made acne worse and didn't stop breakouts.

Only useful for mild acne because salicylic acid won't do the trick for moderate to severe acne.

Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

itchiness, redness, more breakouts than ever, big hard zits.

For the first two days, I thought "Wow, this is really going to work". My skin seemed to glow, and I seemed like it was clearing up. The next day I woke up with like huge, hard, big, red bumps on my cheeks. They are the worst they have ever been. I have little bumps all over my my forehead---when it was completely clear before. I went from having mild acne to severe acne in less than a week. I'm just going to stop using it before I get horrible scars because I scar so easily. They tell you your skin is going to "purge" just so they can get money from you, this product is just terrible. I wish I would have never used it.

Pros:

Cleanser seems to cleanse well. Takes time. Be patient.

Cons:

Takes a really really really long time to work. But i think it works.

Well I'm African American. Bottom line is when i got this product it made me break out even worse. All over. It really sucked and was very uncool. This product works product but not in 4 weeks. Not for me atleast. It took me about 4 months until my skin was completely clear. I had only 1 or two pimples and they would stay small and go away fast. I stopped using this product because i read some GREAT reviews on how applying lemon juice on your face WORKS WELL AGAINST ACNE. I was skeptical but I went for it and tried the lemon. I've been using lemon for a month now and i think it's working very well. i've had two pimples in one month and they were fairly small. Try the lemon. I highly recommend it people. I still have my last shipment of murad acne complex that i have not opened yet. If the lemon does not work i'll definitely go back to murad. Murad works very very very slow but i think if you're patient it will work. Your skin just has to get used to it.

Pros:

none

Cons:

Beware of purging process!!!

I didn't have terrible acne to begin with but saw the extraodinary results on a tv infomercial one day and couldn't resist. I purchased it that day and was using it later that week. And every morning, I would wake up with a few more clusters of zits--cystic pimples, whiteheads around my mouth and along my jawline. I was discouraged but reminded myself about the purging process they tell you about. I used it for a whole month and my complexion only got worse. I really regret having purchased this product.

Horrible
What the heck!! I only used the spot treatment and that stuff burned like there's no tomorrow. It irritated my skin, making it red and super dry. It still hurts and it's been 5 days. It's going to take weeks before my skin goes back to normal. Horrible... Please don't use this product, for your own sake.

Terrible
Okay, I have always had acne. I purchased the acne starter kit from Sephora and used it two or three days. My skin looks awful! I have a horrible rash all over my face and peeling as well! This crap has totally messed my skin up! I feel terrible because my hubby told me not to buy it and now I look like a rashy, scaly face idiot!!! It does not deserve the one star that I had to give it#

Amazing product

Pros:

Effective
Refreshing feel
Effective!

Cons:

Can dry out skin if not used properly

I have struggled with acne for years and have used everything under the stars to try and fix it. Ive used all natural organic products and ive used proactiv solution and nothing seemed to work as consistently as this product does. In the beginning stages my skin did NOT react to this product well. I used the face wash with my clarisonic and it was much too abrasive for my skin and I ended up braking out into a horribly uncomfortable rash. I stopped using murad for a couple of weeks and on my second attempt I used much more caution. I started to only use my hands to gently massage the face wash in and I made sure to buy a separate night mosturizer because although my skin is extremely oily, this product is very strong and can easily dry your face out. The key for me was to use a very good mosturizer after using this product. Now, my face has never been more clear.

Okay I'm doing exactly what you said you started out doing, the clarisonic with the cleanser and so on. But my skin is peeling a lot like a sun burn, did you go through this? And can you tell me a bit more of what you did to help and get such a good result? It's so embarrassing to have your face peel this badly.. Thanks !
