Pros:

*- Cleans pores
*- Leaves skin softer
*- Doesn't have a horrible odor.
Manyyyy more for me.

Cons:

a little expensive but worth it.

I started getting acne when I was around 11, I'll be 16 in about a month. I've tried countless products, I really have. Most cleared my skin a little for like 2 weeks, then made it worse. Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, Acne Free, and so on. This coming Wednesday will be my 4th week on Acne Complex and I'm really happy with my so far results. Instead of waking up and praying I didn't get a new zit over night, I wake up to find my face glowing. I had moderately severe acne when I got the product. Now it's light, but as I stated, my four weeks aren't even up yet. I have a lot of faith in Murad, I really do. A few weeks before I ordered, I swear I went through every bad review on this webpage. The ones who said everyone's skin is different, that you SHOULD TRY IT, JUST TO SEE IF IT WORKS FOR YOU, pushed me. It also helped to read the details of what their acne looked like. So here's my details I started wearing makeup at 11, that's what I believe triggered it. I can't exactly remember when I got the "brail" bumps, but I've never used anything that made them go away before Murad. My acne looked like a mixture of Sammi's and Deedra's. Very occasionally I'd get the huge painful bumps like Brian. Right before I started using Murad I broke out around my jawline, like Sammi's. The "Brail" bumps were all over my face, at least a couple hundred of them. The acne on my jawline itched. Usually I popped my pimples then stopped for a while and noticed it got better on its own. I have sensitive skin, most people with acne, especially bad acne do. If you do then I suggest you use it only ONCE a day. I know what my skin's limits are. I used the exfoliating acne gel every other day. After two weeks I started using it every day and my skin's fine since it's used to the products. My favorite products of the 5 are the cleanser and clarifying mask. I leave the mask on for more than 10 minutes though. The lotions a nice finishing touch, I just layer it on my

Pros:

Cleared my skin. That is all I wanted and it worked for me.

Cons:

none

At first I didnt want to try it because of all the bad reviews, so I tried EVERYTHING from store brand to expensive brand at the mall and most of the products at Sephora that I can afford. I even went to the dermo and that didnt work. I was browsing through Sehpora and one of the workers told me to try the $10 trial, and I was thinking, I had nothing to lose but $10 and even so, if I didnt like it I can return it. Boy was I glad I tried it. My face almost cleared up completely and i just went back to buy the 33 kit. Dont think I need everything in the kit, but I will try it..and may just use only the face wash, lotion and treatment. Sorry, this is pretty long, but I am soo happy, I finally have clear skin. I was sooo depressed before, now I dont have to hide my face and I smile alot more without my face being hurt from those crazy zits. Good Luck to all of you, I know not everyone skin is the same. Just because it worked for me doesnt mean it will work for you. But its worth the $10 try....

Pros:

I liked the moisturizer.

Cons:

It doesn't work. Period. It may somewhat help acne from getting totally out of control, but it will not clear existing breakouts or stop new ones from happening. Plus, its super expensive and I didn't like how the product felt on my face. P.S. The "spot treatment" might as well have been water. Seriously.

Please don't waste any more of your time or money and just try Dan's regimen.

Pros:

-NONE

Cons:

-used for couple months made my face worse than ever before. it made it the worst. literally

I'm telling you right now, this thing has made my skin worse than ever before. I'm a real person it seems like people who are posting good reviews about this regimen are fake or just murad workers. I feel like such a victim bc it's literally killed my social life and now I have no confidence and am not outgoing. I have half a mind to file a lawsuit against this company bc their products are pure bs. Virginia Tech lost to Boise St. couple days ago.

Pros:

Cleanser cleans without drying
smells great
leaves face feeling clean, not oily

Cons:

allergic to all other products in the line

I've been an acne sufferer for over 20 years now. Murad was the first product that actually worked for me when used in combinations of other product lines. The key to fighting acne is finding what works in COMBINATION with your skin. I love the Murad cleanser...but can't use any of the product because it causes me to breakout. I use just good old Clearasil ULTRA for spot treatment and the Arbonne's thermal facial scrub once a week. This combination is what works for me to keep my skin glowing and clear. There is no such product that will leave you acne free. it's in the genes. But, finding a good product like Murad's cleanser used with other products is what keeps my flares down to a zit or two a month. For me, that's winning the battle.

Pros:

None!!

Cons:

Everything!!

This is the worst treatment i have ever used. I have been using this treatment for almost 3 months, for the first couple of weeks my skin cleared up, but then... i started breaking out like crazy, all over my face, and my skin started flaking (peeling off) the gel burned and made my skin extremely dry, itchy and sore, the moisturiser is not hydrating, i have stopped using murad and hopethat my skin will recover it is dull, dry and still very itchy!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!! If you are like me and still buy these product after reading these terrible products DON'T it will ruin your skin!!! I guess the search for a wonder acne treatment continues!!....because this most definately is not!

Pros:

*Works well, yet is gentle
*Clears & gets rid of hyperpigmentation
*Smoothes and Soothes
*Natural Ingredients
*Multiple anti-acne ingredients

Cons:

*Sort of expensive
*Run out of exfoliating gel before other products
*Spot treatment isn't very effective

I have used these products for years and I like it a lot. The cleanser lathers up great and smells good; the gel fades post-marks, clears skin, absorbs well, doesn't feel greasy, and curbs oil production; lotion absorbs well, moisturizes effectively, and doesn't feel greasy; spot treatment - I don't use it because I don't think it works. Instead I substitute Bye Bye Blemish Spot Treatment (the stuff in the little glass bottle), which has the same active ingredient as Murad Spot Treatment (sulfur) but at a much higher percentage. So, over all I like the Murad Anti-Acne line with the exception of the spot treatment.

Pros:

It worked 4 me INSTANTLY! Better than Proactiv. Like the infomercial says! Made skin feel very smooth after 1st use and noticed a difference of clearer skin within 1 day! Only used the 3 steps and its changed my apperance. The spot tx seems to work very well overnight too.

Cons:

Gel does burn at first. Toner does too, so no longer use the toner. It reminds me of rubbing alcohol on my skin. But the cleanser and gel seem to do the trick. Now waiting for old scarring to fade but have clear smooth skin now.

Highly recommended! Nothing esle worked, especially this fast before! Wish i would have tried it sooner instead of listening to negative reviews. Im glad I found something without BP in the product because this is whats working for me. And only paid $29.99 online 4 intial shipment. Or now they have a $33 kit at Sephora that i buy instead of waiting on shipping! This price is very good considering that Proactiv used to be $49.99 before all the generic brands hit the market like Clean n Clear and all the other products i tried from the store!

Pros:

The cleanser was nice and makes my skin feel smooth and fresh. The gel seems to work at first. The lotion was not greasy and feels light.

Cons:

Did not work as advertised.

After using this kit for a year, I did not notice any difference. In fact, my acne has gotten worse. Even though when you initially put on the gel, your face will feel tingly, but then my skin started to itch. I also used the sulfur treatment that came with the kit. It supposedly is supposed to get rid of inflammation. However, it just stinks up my face and didn't reduce any redness at all. Overall, I would not recommend this product. It's too expensive and it does not seem to work for my moderate to severe acne.
