Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Burned my face after first application.

I have used Proactiv for many years, so I am no stranger to the ingredient 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, and my face is definitely use to it. I decided to try this product out, as it said on the box, it's main ingredient was 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide also. I applied it like I always do, and my face gradually became more and more irritated over a course of many hours, and it is burned, itchy and on fire. It gave me a chemical burn after only one application. I looked on the bottle of the Repairing Lotion and seen it said 3.7% Benzoyl Peroxide! No wonde rit burned my face! Also, it did not say that on the box, at all, so when I purchased it, I was under the impression it was 2.5% B.P. because that's what it says, but the Lotion is a higher concentration, so be wary of trying this product! Benzoyl Peroxide is very strong as it is, and it's recommended not to go over 2.5% for this very reason! I'm going to purchase the Equate system that Wal-Mart carries now. I researched it and discovered was an exact replica of Proactiv but better priced, and more convenient!

Pros:

The box looks very pretty

Cons:

This product does not work at ALL. After about a month of using the Severe version of this product, I've actually broken out worse than what I was dealing with before.

The products leave your skin very dry, and it tends to burn. Sun screen is an absolute must, naturally.

Some of my cystic acne has even come back now. This doesn't make any sense, considering my finals are well over by now and I have virtually no stress.

Red marks from past breakouts are starting to reapp

Do NOT buy this product! It certainly didn't help for me.

Pros:

Only product that works, affordable

Cons:

NONE

I have seriously tried EVERYTHING! From proactive, to cetaphil, to expensive treatment from Sephora. I have moderate adult acne and it is so frustrating and embarrassing! I am still a little in shock that I have found something that works so amazingly well. I have been using for two months now and I have had one small pimple! I dare say....this has been life changing!=)

Pros:

Controls acne and you can feel it working. Also, soaks up the oil in my skin which I had trouble with my whole life.

Cons:

Doesn't take away scars and can dry skin up fast.

This is a pretty good products, but there are better ones. I f you have mild acne it is likely to work better on you. But if you have severe acne it is not recommended to you. You must see a dermatologist first and get what the prescribe you to. If it turns mild after that and your tired of going to the dermatolgist and pay alot of money, I recommend you use it. Please remember to use it for at least a month to show results before you quit. I happed to learn my lesson about quitting face products too soon.

Pros:

Works for the first 2 days

Cons:

Dries up skin to flakes, Stretches your skin when you open your mouth, Caused MORE acne, and causes misery

This product is a big fat JOKE. It worked for the first 2 days fine. I followed the instructions and it was OK. Then one morning I woke up to have flakes all over my cheeks, forehead, and a burning sensation to even talk because the "flakes" stretched my skin. It caused 2 zits on my nose. Lovely. I'm miserable right now just writing this review. The only way to stop the burning sensation somewhat is to drink tons of water. It detoxes your skin and body. But this product should be banned. I think the FDA needs to reexamine this product because it's HORRIBLE.

Pros:

inexpensive emergency kit

Cons:

benzol peroxide is aging
will stop working after awhile

For emergency, grab this product, use it for few months. But overtime, switch to a less abrasive products and use sunblock. Often times, its our own fault on why we break out. In my case, stress related, touching my face and forgetting to get in a regimen program. I also break out when I dont drink enough water and when i eat junk foods (sweets). so be healthy and drink your H20. Peace!

Pros:

When I first started using it, my skin cleared up within two weeks. I even got compliments on it! It did not over dry or provoke excess oils.

Cons:

It has been 5 months, and I think it has stopped working. I am getting breakouts, and should switch to something else.

It was amazing at first. Then I adapted to it and it does not help nearly as well. I have breakouts once again. Hurrah!

Pros:

-Got Rid of existing acne
-Helped get rid of the red spots from my old acne
-Prevents new acne from forming if used regularly

Cons:

-You HAVE to use it twice a day everyday or else new acne comes up (not that much though, nothing too serious)
-You have to use a lot of cotton pads

I really really like this product. I had been using a ton of other products before this that just had not been doing enough and i had continually been searching for something good. I found this and it has worked out pretty well! The only problems I have with this product is that you MUST do it twice a day everyday or else about 1-3 new pimples pop up almost instantly. Lately I've been forgetting to do it at night and this has happened frequently, but if that happens I just remember to get back on track. I also love this product because the toner in it has definetely been improving my red spots and occasionally I've been on the brink of not even wearing concealer! Also, a lot of people have been saying its drying, but I don't really experience that (but that may just because i have a tolerance for BP). In the morning I put on a light moisturizer with SPF to stop any drying from occuring. Overall it's a great product!

Pros:

easy to use

Cons:

almost everything, first allergic reaction EVER !!

i used it for two days/ twice a day, the second day it looked like i had a blotchy sunburn all over my face, it was already drying my skin out bad, i woke up the third day with not only badly swollen eyes but my whole face was swollen, red, bumpy, YUCK, i cried all morning, and to think- i used the severe acne free a year or so ago and found it too drying so i discontinued, so this time around i figured i would get the acne free specifically made for sensitive skin and HOLY COW !!!! i have never had an (what i call) allergic reaction before, this was severe, i read every last word on the box hoping for a some type of money back guarentee and of course there was nothing, the only think i am thankful for was that it only cost $17.99, so it is now the third night and i still have all the symptoms, i see that others have experienced this as well so does anyone know how long this will last for?
