Pros:

Works for a while
Clears some acne
Smooth skin

Cons:

Stops working
Bleaches clothing
Very expensive

Like proactiv and almost all other acne treatments, the active ingredient in this system is benzoyl peroxide. I used it consistently, twice daily, for about 2 years. I think the first night I used it, it literally cleared about 80% of my acne overnight. But over time, like proactiv, it stopped working. I don't believe this is meant to be a long-term solution to acne. If you have puberty onset acne, it may help to get you through those couple of years, but for people with adult acne, you'll probably need something stronger.

Pros:

It comes in a cool container.

Cons:

Everything about it.

I had a terrible break out due to like hormones or something, I never had acne before june. RIght around then I switched from my normal clinique skin care to acne free. the regular acne free did nothing at all. Then I moved to acne free sever. the irretation came down but within a week the acne I had sort of went under the skin really deep and multiplied. then those erupted and my face was way worse. everyday the got drier, more tender, and bigger. I did everything I could think of to fight the infection, but this product did nothing from june to august 19th. Finnaly I took it back and spent 7 bucks on NOXEMA and WITCH HAZEL, it is cheap refershing and works really quickly!! POOF acne was gone and my life goes on. Don't use acne free it sucks and is full of cheap ass chemicals. Universal medical uses the cheapest form of benzoyl peroxide. Even equate spends more money on their chemistry. Seriously NOXEMA works!!! I am totally clear now!!!!!

Pros:

Cheap

Cons:

Causes more acne; reparing lotion is too grainy

This is the WORST product I have ever used on my skin. This product is to blame for the large cysts I got on my face, which lead to my scaring. I decided to use this before I tried Proactiv -- worst thing I could've ever done. It made my skin at its worst state ever. I'd have awful white heads on my face all the time and large painful zits. It lead to major scaring for me. It has permentaly damaged my skin. It didn't get rid of any of my acne, it just caused more. I hope this product rots in hell. It's awful, awful, awful.

It's okay...
I was looking for something new that i heard was similar to proactive but cheaper. so i went out on a limb and bought it ... it cleared my skin up a little , i did see slight improvement but after that my face hit a plateau. It stopped working and personally i have oily skin and this made my nose very very very oily and shin which i was trying to avoid.. i personally wouldn't recommend this face wash its not worth all of the hype.

Pros:

-Reduces size and redness of pre-existing pimples and scars
-The toner improves complexion

Cons:

-breakouts
-breakouts
-more breakouts

-feels greasy
-overpriced
-night cream and lotion do nothing

Started off well for the first week, but wound up making me violently breakout. Could be different for anyone else, so if you can spare the 30 bucks then it could be worth a try.

Pros:

-works in a couple of day
- smooth skin
- shiny/healthy skin
- cheap

Cons:

- stops working after one week
- burns your face after one week
- face looks sun burned
- face gets really dry

I like it at first, but it stopped working. It burned my face.... I was disapointed. Don't use this product, if you have sensitive skin. If you want good results don't use this product. I recommand using sea salt. It cured my acne and made my scars less noticible from 50%. Use natural products, instead of damaging alcool products.

Pros:

Easy to apply

Cons:

Did not help acne
Irritated skin
burned

I couldn't afford proactiv anymore and I was basically forced to switch to acnefree. I thought that acnefree was just the cheap version of proactiv and would work the same way, it did work for a couple months but after a while, my pimples came back and it became pretty bad especially around the forehead area. So I'm very angry with this produc

Pros:

- cleared forehead acne
-made skin soft and smooth
-cheap and close replacement for proactive

Cons:

-did not help me with scarring
-very chemical smell

Regular Strength- Product is very easy to use and work right away. It started to clear my cystic acne but left scars. My skin is smooth but I still have a very large red area of scarring around my cheeks. I thought that using the regular strenght would be better but it simply wasn't strong enough. Severe Strength- Very different and much more concitrated. It says that it helps with scarring but it went on greasy and and had little to no effect.

Pros:

Cleared up most of my acne first time i used
Can be found easily in drugstores
Affordable
Work faster than most other drugstore brands
Toner is very soothing and refreshing

Cons:

Irritated sensitive skin (which creat redness)
Smell reallllllly bad and strong
Cleanser doesn't really remove make-up well
Treatment lotion dry out skin very badly

-The treatment lotion: doesnt help fast enough for getting rid of pimples. And when apply to extra sensitive area ( under the neck, hair line area...ect) doesnt help with acne at all ,and make those sensitive area itchy, swollen, irritated, and red :( -Toner: nice, remove excess oil well, refreshing, soothing, smell good, hydrate skin. -Cleanse: creamy, has little tiny things that you would find in a exfoliator or acne scrub, irritate skin, doesnt remove make up well so you would have to use a make up remover (which take time and irritate you acne prone skin) , smell sooooo bad , not foamy First time i used it cleared up my pimples within 2 months or less. Then i stopped once i almost finish the bottle cause i hate the irriation and the smell and i though it was too tough on my sensitive 16 y/o skin . So acne came back gradually but i was using neutrogena acne stress cleanser, toner and lot of different acne treatment gel and cream....so my acne during that time was light but still bothered me a lot ..thats why i came back to this and it CLEARED UP my acne but STILL IRRITATE my skin SO....i stop using and left half the bottle i switch to acne.org cleanser, moisturizer and treatment..it kept my skin clear and doesnt irriate it :) (except acne.org treatment make my skin red IF i put too much, but thats my fault i dont follow direction) now i dont have acne but 1 or 2 tiny little skin color bumps on my cheek so ya ,,,,you should try acne.org products that was the best decision i ever made :) GOOD LUCK :)
