My guess is: yes. If skin is not smooth, but bumpy, red, irritated, there is a good chance something is clogging those pores. BP kills bacteria, but does not clear clogged pores. I recommend Differin.

tazorac is a retinoid, they purge your skin. I think you need a good talk with your dermatologist about the best course of action and what you actually want to achieve.
