neosporin vs. hydrocortisone

went to my derm. today and he told me that hydrocortisone 1% cream would be way better to use to treat red marks than neosporin. what thoughts do you guys have on that?

I can't comment which is better as I use none to treat my redmarks. I use use Aloe Vera and it does miracles, but it tends to make some people break out from what I heard.

I used to put hydrocortisone in my eyes and nose when i used to get a cold and it used to get rid of the cough/running nose/itchy eyes immediately. It's a corticosteroid, meaning it takes away inflamation, etc.. As for it's ability to remove redness in skin, I think it should work a litle, give it a try for 2 weeks or so, see if your scars get better, if not, get rid of it.
