Septra is a strong, sulfa-based antibiotic also known as Bactrim. It can be very effective at treating acne, but it also has a high incidence of allergic reaction, sometimes fatal. I tried it but developed an itchy rash and my skin started to turn very red and i stopped. Beware of that sort of reaction and contact your doctor immediately. You should not take it if you have ever had a reaction to any sulfa drug. But of course many people can tolerate it just fine.
