Redness and Peeling

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I've been using the clear skin regimen for a short period of time, and it has been clearing up my face nicely. I just have a few concerns, i've noticed lately that my skin has been really dry and red in some spots (around eyes and mouth). And where there is red spots, theres a lot of dried skin peeling off. Is this normal? Or should I stop using the regimen for a few days and let it go down? Sometimes, when the peeling and dryness would get really bad, i would apply more moisturizer , but after a few minutes it would just come back.

Thanks.

it is not unusual in the beginning to experience redness and drying as your skin is trying to adjust to the bp onslaught.

Just be sure you began slowly, with a tiny amount, and gradually work up to the full dosage over about 4 weeks time. And use that moisturizer twice a day.

Which moisturizer are you using?

I'm using "Nivea Soft Moisturizing Creme"

you might want to check out one of the moisturizers that are recommended in the "product ratings" page.

Ok, thanks. So you think it's just the moisturizer?

well, maybe another one would suit you better, you never know until you try.

and I don't know of anyone who uses the one you mentioned.

you're welcome, and just remember that SOME redness and dryness is just part of bp treatment, but hopefully a good moisturizer will keep it from being unbearable.

best wishes.
