This may sound incredibly simple but I tell you it has worked wonders. For years since I moved into my new apartment with electric heat I would wake up with incredibly dry, flaky skin. Very embarassing. And as we all know dry skin gets embedded in pores and causes acne.

So I finally read somewhere that I should use a humidifier to stabilize the moisture in the air. My moisture was running at about 15% in the winter with the electric heat on. Now it runs closer to 50%.

My complexion has gotten much, much better when I wake up in the morning and as a result my acne has also been much improved.

So try a humidifier. You won't be dissapointed.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN USING A HUMIDIFIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Humidifiers can be extremely dangerous. They provide an excellent environment for deadly bacteria to grow in. I have heard of a few units with UV filters, however I'm not sure how effective they are. If you must use a humidifier be sure to clean it at least twice a week and do not hook it up to your central air system.
