Question about Cetaphil Cleanser

1)Well i have moderate acne and i have been recently out in the sun and it has made me burnt a bit now im pretty red, so i was wondering if it was okay for me to use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. ( im a guy by the way ).

2)Since it contains alcohol would this be a good idea and what exactly does alcohol do to your face?

Thanks for your time!

I'm going to have to disagree there... Cetaphil contains Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, a known skin irritant. I used cetaphil for a while too (the gentle formula) and then it started burning my skin.

However, the alcohols mentioned in Cetpahil aren't the same as ethanol. Ethanol dries skin out, while the ones listed are supposed to emollient and act as humectants (drawing moisture from the air to your skin to keep it from becoming dehydrated... supposedly).

Stay away from things with Sodium Lauryl Sulphate!

SLS = 1% concentration and, therefore, it poses minimal to no risk of irritation. At 2% or higher is when SLS can be a real bad.

Its not the individual ingredients that make the product but the formultion of it as a whole...
