Breaking out during 2nd week of regimen

Recommended Posts

I am on my 2nd week of the regimen and my skin has been breaking out. I previously was using Clinque and that really helped with my acne and I rarely got acne, but now that I've started on this regimen my skin has been breaking out and it's like I have new pimples every day. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Fbombbb,

I'm sorry to hear about your skin. It is perfectly normal to have breakouts when you initially use the Acne.org Regimen. Your skin is still adjusting to the products. As long as you follow the instructions as outlined, you'll gradually clear up within a few weeks.

Hey, how is your skin going now? Honestly my acne had almost cleared up before I started a week ago and now I have some of the biggest cystic acne I’ve had in months appearing on my face! I hope it’s just purging but am also kind of scared it’s the irritation/more oil and moisturiser than I normally use breaking out. My skin is super sensitive so not sure. Any advice?

Hey so I actually stopped using it, they said it would clear up but it just kept getting worse. I’m going out of the country at the end of the month and I can’t afford to wait for the results and potentially have terrible skin while on my birthday trip, so I went back to using Clinique and when I get back I’ll try it out again. I was expecting to see results early on because my acne is honestly not even that bad so I was surprised to see that it hadn’t cleared up at all. I do still want to give it a try because of all the positive reviews I’ve seen but at the moment I’m just very impatient. I would say just stay consistent with the regimen but don’t expect quick results because everyone is different. I do think that if you stick with it you’ll be happy with the results down the line!
