i'm a teenage girl and think i'm suffering from hormonal acne, but I'm not sure.

When I'm not on/close to my period, I do break out but it's very minimal and doesn't bother me too much. However, when I am, I get very painful nodules all over. 95% of the time, they appear on my cheeks, chin, and between my lips and nose, never on my nose and rarely on my forehead. The best way to describe it would be like...a beard of acne. It looks awful. Eating dairy causes these breakouts to be even worse.

Does this sound like hormonal acne?
