Hey, this is my first post but I've always looked to acne.org for help with acne. I'm looking for some advice on what could help me improve my acne, I know there are a lot of knowledgeable people here and is appreciate their input.
A little about me:
22y/o Male
I have had acne since I was 16 and it started out as just normal teenage acne but it eventually got to wear it seemed like every pore on my face was clogged. It ruined my self esteem and I would miss school and avoid doing stuff I wanted to do. I am now 22 and it still bothers me. I'm always worried about my face and I avoid going out with my girlfriend or friends and I hate not being comfortable doing those simple tasks. I've tried just about every OTC product and a majority of home remedies. I took antibiotics for a while with no help. I've been on DKR for about 6 months. I've noticed a slight improvement but still have tons of huge blackheads and new pimples every day. My skin is always oily and very red or dis colored. My girlfriend says I look fine but I'm never comfortable. I was wondering what could help clear my pores out or if I have any other problem. I'd really appreciate it.

your skin looks pretty good to me. are you using an AHA nightly? that is the one thing i would recommend adding to your regimen. i love glycolic acid and cant say enough good things about it. if you do start using it make sure you wear at least and spf 15 daily as well.
Glycolic Acid is an exfoliator. It safely removes the outer layer of dead skin cells on the surface your skin, bring fresh new skin to the surface. This is beneficial for those who are looking for ingredients that help with anti-aging. Glycolic acid can also help lighten discoloration of the skin, such as sun spots or age spots and help those with acne-prone and blackhead-prone skin.
more info from this site as well:
if you click that link i posted it explains more about it and how to use it. it might cause some acne to come up to the surface but using the AHA and the BP together should dry anything that comes up pretty quickly. if you add one thing to your regimen that would be what i recommend 100%. if you try the lotion and you dont like it you can use a glycolic acid toner that should work pretty well for you. i use the proactiv one daily and i never had any issues with it breaking me out but its only 6% glycolic acid and the one on this site is 10% (i think). it will really help those skin cells from sticking together so it will keep you pretty clear.
