Sexting - Is This A Mean Thing To Say?

Recommended Posts

OK before I vent please spare me the ethical/moral advice.

So I've been seeing this guy for over a month now. We date, we sleep together, etc. Nothing is official though. Anyway tonight, he was horny and asked for pictures. I asked him what kind. He said closeups of my private parts. So I sent them 30 minutes later.

Then he texts me asking for more. This time, he said "Can you take a picture of your body from neck to foot?"

I got pissed. Naturally I attributed him excluding, not wanting to see my face to my ugliness due to acne. Bare in mind that this guy doesn't have any picture of me, nor are we friends on Facebook.

So was that a mean thing to say - "Can you take a picture of your body from neck to foot?" Was it just like saying "I'm just attracted to your body." (It's not like I work out either, I'm average.) Or am I overanalyzing this?

It's definitely a weird way to put it, but it sounds like he was basically just saying "Give me a pic of your sexy body." I highly doubt he was purposefully excluding your face because he thinks something bad about it. But we don't know this guy, and you do--so only you know. If it was a single incident and you liked him otherwise, I'd probably give him the benefit of the doubt and let it go. But if you see other signs of disrespectful behavior, watch out.

Maybe he was trying to protect your identity.

Once you send a naked picture to another phone it spreads like a virus. Idk how many pictures I have sent around of girls naked with full face too.

Why are you with this guy?? You guys have been dating for only a month and sleep together?? Too soon. He is sick person!

I think he just wanted a full body picture of you. Most guys wanna see the whole package. Don't read too much into the wording of the request he made. Be careful about sending a bunch of nekkid pics early in a relationship, tho. Remember that you've only been seeing the dude for a month and if you ever break up with him or decide that the relationship isn't working, he's still going to have those pictures of you.

Why would he say something mean on purpose if he wanted a favor (picture of your body) cmon now its common sense when you want something you act nice to get it. You misinterpreted what he said . I'm a guy I would know.

Dude, come on. Sleeping together within a month and requesting sexy pics does not make him "sick." Plenty of guys want sexy pics of their girl. Totally normal.

Naturally, if she doesn't trust him, she shouldn't send the pics. But I don't think asking makes him sick.

It isn't normal. Chances are , he would ask other girls for sexy pictures. I wouldn't dare to ask that to a girl unless we're married then I might... but it is stupid to ask your partner for a sexy picture... come on.. Well, he may not be sick ,but he's a perv! You never know, maybe he wants the picture to masturbate ? That makes him sick, totally. lol . Notice that she posted that he said "I'm just attracted to your body." He just wants her body, nothing else. If he see another girl who has better body.. he will go for it. Plus they've been dating for only a month.. were they friend prior to dating? Use your brain!!!!! lol

Of course they want the picture to masturbate. That's the point--duh. How is that sick? All guys masturbate. What, it's okay to do it to a picture of a random girl in a porn but not the girl they love? See anything twisted about this?

Unless you're one of those people who believes that masturbation, a completely healthy and normal act, is "dirty." In which case, there's no point in even discussing it because I can't relate to people like that at all. Sexuality is healthy, beautiful and should be shared.

Maybe for young people teenagers it's normal but for people in their twenties/thirties? I think it's somewhat odd.

The OP is a he, by the way.

I see. For some reason the avatar threw me, even though I'm aware that's a person from Survivor (huge fan!) and not the actual person, lol.

Either way, I feel the same. It's okay to send sexy pictures to someone you like. I don't deny that it could lead to a problematic situation if the pictures get out of your hands. I just disagree that a person is perverted for wanting them. I'm 30 and have sent plenty of nudes, lol. But I'm also a former stripper/adult industry worker and there are already tons of nudes of me on the net. So it doesn't really matter to me.

I dunno... I just don't see it as something your average adult couple would do. Why would someone feel the need for this when you have this person in your life? I mean... You see each other all the time...I assume so, yeah... I don't get it. eusa_think.gif If it was a long distance thing it might something else but... I dunno. lol

Anyway, the OP should be careful... If he only knows his boyfriend for a month then it's just irresponsible, in my opinion. I think I remember the OP speaking of letting people in his house he just met through a dating site...or something along those lines. I mean it's just not wise...at all. I may remember wrongly though.

It's just a way to be dirty and have sexy fun with each other. For example, a friend of mine sends naked pictures to her husband's phone while she's home alone and he's at work. They "dirty" text back and forth and get each other all excited. It gets him through the boredom of his workday, and then when he gets home he is more than ready to make love to her.

It just depends on how sexual you are as a person, how confident you are in the way you look and how much you trust the other person, I guess. But I definitely know multiple people that do this pretty regularly.

My advice: Do not send naked pics of yourself to anyone unless you want them all over the internet and distributed to your friends and acquaintances.

Sending naked pics to anyone is a risky thing. You never know, those same pics could come back to haunt you in the future. People change, and naked pics can be very detrimental to someone's professional image if landed in the wrong hands.

OK fine, it isn't sick to ask someone for nude pictures. I am going to ask girls for nude pictures and jerk off............ it doesn't make me sick?? OK, then I will jerk off and do something else at the same time which I haven't figured it out. That's why I think it is sick because why do you think a guy wants a naked picture of a girl? Think for a couple of sec here. But yeah, I will stop... Like I care :D

Just to add to the discussion, I don't think it's sick to exchange nude pics with a significant other. Totally normal, healthy thing to do...gotta agree with Deja in saying that sexuality is just a part of human nature. I've had several girlfriends in the past send me nude pictures, I don't often ask for them, but if they wanna send them? Sweet deal, I won't argue. If you're with a girl/guy it pretty much equates to the fact that you're attracted to that person and would like to see more of their body.

I guess it's different for everyone though because people have different upbringings, religious beliefs, etc.

The only thing I'd say is be cautious about exchanging those kind of pics EARLY in a relationship when you're still kinda getting to know the person. I think it's better to establish a good bit of trust first before you take that kinda step.

lol. Everyone has their own level of nudity/sexuality they are comfortable with. I find it strange that with all of my insecurities, I could be naked all day in front of billions of people and not care. I was like that even before I was a stripper (probably why I became one).

Yet one bad breakout and I will hide in the house for weeks! lol
