Please help. My beautiful child had a very big acne pimple from eating potatoe chips. She/he has perfect skin. But this pimple was very large on the side of her/his mouth. It's going away and I know it won't scar. I PRAY TO GOD MY CHILD DOES NOT GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH! I pray he has his Mom's skin! She/he is 11 go ing on 12.

I am going to make sure she/he doesn't eat that garbage again. But should I start taking her to a dermatoloigst now or wait?

go to a derm asap. In the mean time ice it for two minutes every 2 hours or so using a paper towel.

Derms are not the answer. Healthy lifestyle and diet will do more than antibiotics or topicals

Whatever it is, they'll be fine and I wouldn't think a derm would be necessary. Remember, people get zits all the time and it doesn't mean that acne's on the way.
